So I've seen my share of strange bots... but I've never seen someone driving around what looks to be a giant microwave.

(btw, an instant after this pic got taken he got hit in the glass part with a bunch of plasma and the entire front exploded.)

So I've been taking a few screenshots of the unusual bots that I've been seeing over the past few days, sorta like the Microwavebot.

Here's four that I've run into:

This one I didn't get too good of a shot of, since it got plasma'd about half a second after the screenshot.

This one was pretty neat, believe it's a recreation of the Portal 2 version of GLaDOS.

This one, uh...

And this one I think is something from a Kirby game.

But I'm guessing you guys have all mostly abandoned this game? xD

EDIT: Eek, a zombie who got stolen from the same place I took my Robocraft username from!

Yeah that second to last one is 02 from one of the Kirby games. Forget which one, might have been Kirby 64?

In other news, I made a rocket sled.

It's basically a flier with no flying. It has a self righting system and a gravity system (because it bounces around like a mofo)

aaaaand I don't feel like taking pictures of it.

The Predator Fornicator has taken shape fully and the Fortress of Arrogance has taken its final form.

Build a new hovercraft now that Plasma isn't the OHKO thing you must dodge. It has better handling and laser tanking ability.

also gravity system ? you mean hoverpads ? Only scrubs use them on rocket sleds, get rid of it and just steer madly around and do full turns while charging the enemy and climb up mountains/ use them as launch ramps.

It's pretty difficult to control, but very amazing.

No. Not hoverpads.

The self-righting system and gravity system are actually the same thing.. a quartet of rockets placed at corners of the sled that all face downward. Using this, I can descend something without being flipped and utterly screwed, and if I am flipped and utterly screwed, I can fire the same rockets to right myself.

The new patch really favors building BIG. Even my T3 bot is using 659 pieces (13x18). This thing can literally face tank everything and 1 vs 5.

comes with 7x laser L2s and 8x wheel L2.

I haven't touched this game in quite a while. I'm gonna take a look at it soon.

Now with only 2 L5s Plasmas I get thrown to tier 9?! BS, I get completely raped by Tier 9's and 10' with a million L5S lasers! Their range also increased. I can't shoot from a safe distance anymore.

Railgun's are let down, imo

809 cubes made with solid orange on a Tier 5. Killing a whole team solo is almost too easy

L5s equipments are essentially useless now unless you got 600 black cubes to go with it.

The ranking jump stupidly between component levels. So the optimum strategy is to use lower level component while spamming a truck load of armor of the same level. Until people catch on I guess I will continue to slaughter entire teams.

This is my breakdown of what armor you should use based on bot Tier, in general though you want to avoid mixing armor too much.

White = Tier 1
Brown = Tier 2
Green = Tier 3
Teal = Tier 4
Orange = Tier 5
Pink = Tier 6
Blue = Tier 7
Black = Tier 10

Unfortunately, this makes even a tier 5 bot stupidly expensive, with armor alone costing 256,000 RP.

Armor has always been insanely expensive to buy. I'm not sure if they lowered the price of armor now but 1 red armor for 3000RP is still quite expensive

I feel glad to have bypassed all the other newer armors, though.

When I have time, I'll get on adapting my Ironclad for the new Robocraft.
Whatever you do, just stay out of the way of L5 Railgun's. One single shot blew me off the entire front of my ship made out of layers of blue and orange armor plus an L5s hover blade in the way.

You probably need to pick a tier before you start, depending on the amount of RP you have at hand.

If you are going for Tier 5, you need L3/L3s equipments with full orange armor

Too many people abuse the old system by bringing a single Plasma L5s to tier 3.

So they decided to "lock" component to it's intended tier using robot ranking, with one major side effect. The new system now highly favor those with a high player level and a lot of RP. I mean, my 300,000+ RP bot that cost 1412 CPU is sitting at tier 5. A player who just got to tier 5 won't stand a chance against that. Even if they figured it out, they won't have the RP or Player Level to pull it off.

Or maybe it is intentional to get people to pay real money for components, who knows.

So I completely redid my tankbot, swapped guns out for rails.

And holy geez it's crappy. Never can manage even 50RP worth of damage in it.

I was just now changing my IronClad and got kicked out of the game due to an incoming update. Bummer.

TBD, Yeah low lvl railguns are good for nothing, but L5 ones apparently are OP
I made a giant tier 2 vehicle with 8 L1S railguns. I barely scratch the opponents.

That's your problem. Railgun scales extremely poorly with increasing number, so 1x L2s is way better than 8x L1s.

Not that it will do anything against 600+ brown cubes, but most tier 2 isn't using 600+ brown cubes atm.

So I cobbled this thing together from a bunch of parts I had in my inventory. It's very much a hit-and-miss vehicle.

Either I do awesome and demolish half the enemy team or I get jumped by a guy with a L3 SMG one minute in and get ravaged.

(Btw, the bot's name in English is "Hell's Traffic Accident")
