Both of them are still in my Top 10 video games, Spyro's probably in my Top 5. I would say they're better than some of the big shoot-em-up games nowadays, such as Halo and Call Of Duty. I play video games to escape reality, not simulate it. And if I wanted to simulate it, I wouldn't want to simulate war.
doom was in mine too along with duke 3d and a little wolfenstein 3d, it came a tad later then most my previously posted gaming memories though.
Crash bandicooot <3Pity it started going downhill after the wrath of cortex.

The voice acting Grab a copy of Baldur's Gate 2 if you like RPGsAs for me, my childhood mostly consisted of LoZ: Ocarina Of Time and Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing, but my favorite classic games are Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, Age Of Empires 2 (this game probably defines gaming in my childhood), MGS, and Mario Kart 64.
