GTM Kart

Lately, I had this random little thought- if we've already got a thread dedicated to a GTM Super Smash Brothers, why can't we do it with say, a Kart Racing game? Thus, I came up with this thread, in which we discuss things that could be in it, like say, items, tracks, characters, and battle arenas. Here are some ideas to get us started.
 
ITEM IDEAS-
These should be generally RA2 Related, if Possible- items can be picked up in the form of the DSL "Weapons" window icons from the Bot Lab.
 
Razor Tips (Can be thrown onto the road behind you in patches of three- if you run over them, you spin out)
Supervolt Battery (Provides a temporary burst of speed)
Chewblade (Launched either in front of or behind you, and can reflect- if an opponent hits it, they flip)
Clown Head Bomb (Can be rolled straight forward or behind, exploding upon impact with a wall or another car- hard to aim, but very powerful, capable of flinging opponents into the air)
Rep Points (These appear in all tracks- run them over them to collect them. As you do so, your speed will gradually increase.
You'll lose some of them if you get attacked, spin out, or go off-course, but if you get the maximum of 10, you can access more powerful versions of items)
Unique Item (An item that can only be used by a certain character- can be both offensive or defensive, but can only be collected after obtaining 10 rep points)
 
CHARACTER IDEAS-
Each character has unique stats, a unique item, and their own special car, as well as a standard kart.
EXAMPLE:
GF93 (Middleweight)

Blue Lightning
(Based on this-

, but in a Cobalt Blue colour)
A sleek and powerful sports car that GF93 considers to be his pride and joy on the GTM Circuit. It boasts high speed, acceleration and on-road grip, but lacks speed off-road, and has below-average handling.
 
Unique Item:
ARMOUR FUSION
GF93 fuses with his ST Battle Suit to give his car the ability to automatically blast down the middle of the track at breakneck speed, knocking aside any cars that he collides with.
He also gains the ability to fire explosive laser shots in the general direction of cars to his side by pressing the Item button as he does so.
Once it finishes after a short period of time, he calls the suit away from him and continues racing as normal.

[FOTEPX]

FOTEPX (Lightweight)

Car:

A supercharged Dodge Viper GTS, that FOTEPX has had since he was very young. When he isn't racing, he's polishing, when he isn't polishing, he's racing. Fast speed, both on and off-road, but medium acceleration and handling, and is quite fragile.

Unique Item:
NUCLEAR VORTEX
Automatically warps FOTEPX into 1st place, but has a 1/20 chance of backfiring and sending FOTEPX into last.

How to unlock: Beat  Tournament Mode on Middleweight difficulty.

A slim-built male of average height, with quite long light brown hair. Wears matte black racing overalls with red detail, and a red visor similar to Geordi La Forge from Star Trek.

CAR
Virus XP-1

A technologically advanced racing buggy that NFX spent years designing, analysing, calculating and programming. Though it's not the sturdiest set of wheels on the circuit, it has decent grip both on and off road, and an average top speed, but lightning acceleration and fantastic handling make this a tough opponent on the twisting, technical circuits.

Essentially a scaled up version of this:

UNIQUE ITEM
Power Trip
NFX triggers a radio jammer on his dashboard that completely shuts down all other cars on the track for between 5 and 10 seconds. With his opponents immobile, NFX can drive his way through the field, bringing him back into contention.

Allows user the ability to summon the might Cthlulhu to smite the opposing drivers.

Note: Don't make your Kart too good, like having a 5 Star Everything. Make it have some strengths, some weaknesses, and some average abilities.

Every 10 seconds, the spinner in the center spins and lands on a color. That color's platforms will disappear for 10 seconds before they come back and another spin ensues.

Unique Item: Toy Tank

It turns Wacky Bob's Kart into:

In addition, it also makes him and his Kart huge, so he can smash anyone in his way.

Bassline. Twin turbo v12 RWD gives this car some serious grunt. High top speed and handling, middle range acceleration but low off-road capabilities.

Unique Item
Mega Bass
Bassline speakers come into play with this item. As the mega bass is played, the cars around Bassline loss control, and if too close, get blown away. The speakers are so loud, that the sound waves can actually be seen. This last for around 15-20 seconds, and decreases Bassline handling by a bit during the use of this item

"Kart" Name: On Motorcycles!

Thats right, J uses Yusei's D-Wheel:

Unique Item:
"Recklessness Dash", which is more like an ability rather then a weapon.
J's Kart's stats drop to 2/2/2/2 if you pick up an item, and you cant use it until 30 seconds later. Oh, and J's Kart can do Power Slides easier, while the driver isn't holding any items.

Why would I make my kart like this? Because it reflects me playing PS1-Crash Team Racing.

Oh, and I'm an unlockable 'secret' character.

Vehicle:Volt 4.7
A 2011 NASCAR (#47, of course) with spikes sticking out of it, all pointing backwards. The machine has an F-Zero style booster at the back, and is painted with purple lightning all over it.

How to unlock: Beat the final boss in Story Mode (Bydo Badnik)

Special Item: Bydo Badnik

Badnik transforms, causing him to move at an insanely fast pace. He is invincible during this time, and any car in his way is spun out. This form lasts for 7 seconds.

Stage: Core Arena

a dark mechanical area, with water at the bottom. The track loops around the stage, with the start and finish line being the only place on flat ground (and siderails).After, a long straightaway that curves uphill, with some boost pads at the top heading down. The rest of the track is insanely curved and looped, like an F-Zero track. The only catch is that there are no side rails to keep you from falling. On the final lap, the Core will appear, and start launching energy blasts, spinning you out and draining your car's energy.

The leader should be hitting the boost pads at about 0:39. The music loops at 0:51.

NEW COMPONENTS
 
Axle Mount - Running into one of these reverses your steering controls for a while. Havok is a pain like that.
Ballast - Attaches itself to your kart, and slows you down for a while.
Snowplow - Attaches to the front of your car, and deflects a hit from an opponent's weapon.
 
Thought I'd have a bash at some game features too. =]
 
MAIN MENU
 
STORY MODE - Take your racer through the world of GTM, making friends and enemies along the way. Single player only.
TOURNAMENT MODE - A series of races allowing you to prove your worth on a variety of tracks. Single player only.
QUICK RACE - Lets you have a blast around any circuit you like. Single player and multiplayer modes available.
TIME TRIAL - Simple, really, just set the fastest lap you can in any kart you like. Single player only.
BATTLE - Take a rivalry to the battlefield, and try to destroy your opponent. Life and Time varieties are available.
ONLINE - Race or battle against people from around the world, and get yourself on the leaderboards.
OPTIONS - Set the game according to your preferences. Audio, Display, HUD and Difficulty settings can be found here.
VAULT - Watch cutscenes from Story Mode again, listen to the soundtrack, or track your progress through the game.

Tracks - Stock Robot Factory - Racers go through an assembly line of stock bots, as well as above an arena where bots are tested (four at a time, and one will always be thrown off for malfunctioning).

[Naryar]

Naryar - Middleweight

DRIVER SPECIFICITIES: Naryar starts with ten razor tips, that he can only use after ten seconds, and has no vehicle. He however flies under his own power, close to the ground. He also takes no damage from heat-based attacks, but if he takes only two cold-based attacks he is rendered unable to continue the match.
Maximum speed: 90 mph
Maximum turnspeed: Inversely proportional to current speed.
Off-road slowdown: None.
Grip: Not applicable
Maximum acceleration: 10 mph/s.

Any sufficiently powerful hit will break Naryar's spell, screwing him over and tossing him away. However, he cannot be stuck on it's back for obvious reasons.
As a flier, Naryar is not affected by ballasts and axle mounts, but not by reputation points and Supervolt batteries as well.

Special Attack : DANCE OF THE BURNING RAZORS: Naryar releases all of his razors, heats them, and makes a spiraling sphere of razors around him. It serves as a shield for twenty seconds, damaging anything coming near him in a 5-meter radius.

Special Item: EMPOWERING METAMAGIC ROD: Doubles Naryar's max speed for 30 seconds.

VEHICLE - None

TRACK - Lethal Lava Land - A twenty-miles long, completely straight, obsidian road in a volcanic landscape. Most common danger here are the common lava flows, common smoke clouds and more rare volcanic bombs. In this world, Naryar is immune to the dangers of the two first ones, however volcanic bombs still break his spell. His rather slow speed compared to other cars in a straight track goes against him, but being immune to most of the constant threats here he needs to care less and can go full speed most of the match.

There are also no items on here, excepted for weapons and armor.
