Yes it is, they hacked it to do that. If you search youtube you can see so many developers interpreting the Kinect in so many different ways. Microsoft may not officially do what more ambitious developers are doing with it, but they can sure learn from them.

But the purpose of the 'Fabricate Yourself' thing is? It doesn't make realistic human models, plus it's a lot like those '3D Pin Art' things, where you can make the pins form roughly your hand. So, the question is, WHY PAY £150 (or so) FOR IT?

Also, Forza 4 FTW!

There are better Kinect model hacks, there is a bunch of other cool hacks aswell. I was just demonstrating the fact that the Kinect has more uses and power compared to its competitors.

Katamari Damaci

Man I love that game so much.

Anyways who would say what looks better PSVita or 3DS?
PSVita, Doesn't look rushed and has excellent hardware compared to the 3Ds.
Admittedly though, its name kind of reminds me of Cream Crackers.

But Microsoft don't utilise that potential, making the KINECT suck

A majority of the games made for the Kinect were all just Wii ripoffs.

You also have to bear in mind that the Wii was made YEARS BEFORE THE KINECT. So yeah, there's gonna be more power in the Kinect because it's in a new generation of motion-controlled gaming. Thus, the new Wii.

Speaking of which, I just had to rant at someone for their comments on it. This is said rant: http://www.stuff.tv/news/computers-and-consoles/news-nugget/nintendo-wii-u-shows-its-game-face#comment-10529
You may have to read all the comments by 'Markster1971' to understand.

It seems like everyone is doubting Nintendo. They used to be on the top of the gaming world.

Odd that you consider hacks for Kinect to be features, but don't count jailbreak apps for iOS whenever ragging on iPhones. Could it be that you're a hack?

I was just demonstrating the fact that the Kinect has more uses and power compared to its competitors.
And WiiMotes have been used to perform surgery: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,526881,00.html

In terms of gaming, the Kinect (in its current form) will never be as good as the PlayStation Move or Wii Motion+. Why is that? The Kinect has no physical inputs, unlike the Wii and PlayStation which both feature nunchuks with analogue sticks. This limits Kinect's motion controls to on-rails "shooting galleries" and minigame collections. Meanwhile, Motion+ has 1:1 Zelda and Move has Socom with good aiming.

Anyways who would say what looks better PSVita or 3DS?
Depends on what you're looking for. They offer completely different experiences, so if you can afford it, get both.

That's what I was thinking- now with all this graphics-obsessed audience of today, anything made by Nintendo will to them, automatically suck until they've actually tried it.

Gaming standards today are much more different than then.

PC gaming is good, but I find that if you don't have a fully optimised PC, it can be slow. Console gaming does not have this issue, as games will play just for the console, without needing '*blank* or better'. I haven't explained it very well, but I'm sure you roughly get what I mean. For example, The Sims 3 is better on console because it will run at a speed that isn't dependent on your PC specs, and so is on average faster. Playing games on the PC is better, but I prefer using consoles. Less hassle, plus none of my PCs have designated graphics cards.

Indeed-  it doesn't quite seem fair on them to have people automatically judging them on graphics and nothing else like you do nowadays- would you rather play a game that's great fun but a little lacking in the graphics department, or something that plays like crap, but looks absolutely stunning?

I get what you're saying :P They are at least better than Mac when it comes to gaming. I can't even upgrade my Macbook, so I can't run anything.

If you want a gaming Mac that will last, get a Mac Pro and dual-boot Windows. The hardware is fully upgradable, and the stock specs are fantastic.

Their is no top in this industry anymore, it's grown (and continues to grow) too much for their really to be an industry leader.
Just look at the three main consoles, all of them have made massive profits in both hardware and software sales.

Not quite. For the first few years, Microsoft and Sony were selling their consoles at a loss.

Yeah, because the net gain will take some time to pay back development costs.
