Worst:
Escort missions - They are almost always IMPOSSIBLE!
Terrible attempts at reviving a franchise - Sonic is a prime example.

Best:
Games that actually take skill - BC2: best example out there.

When consoles put there bit number in the system's name.
I don't know why, it just is a pet peeve of mine I guess.
EDIT: and that's a bad trend.

Shinobi and Turok were also good examples. But I could say though, that things have been looking up for Sonic lately, with two great titles released recently, and the return of Metal Sonic as a credible villain

Traditionally, sonic gets better when segas consoles are doing better, soooo, when sega release their next console, sonic will be awesome again (yeah, I used to get excited thinking sega would release a new console or something.....what a sad nerdy kid I was

But then again, getting new voice actors and focussing on the problems of previous games was certainly a step in the right direction
