Steel is a bad choice for armor, go for 3mm plastic or 1mm titanium.

So Taking Tritons Tips and doing some more revisions, here is version 4 of "Mini Ray"

The Vertical hammers and side bars help prevent The bot from becoming immobilized in case of inversion.

The more heavily armoured DSL bar was a fair trade for 2 weapons instead of 3.

With 1mm Titanium Armour
2 30kg hammers
1 lightning spike
4 20*80 DSL bars
Weight of 249 kg

Here at GTM, we enforce the "realistic" rule stating that objects cannot pass through other objects when it would be impossible in real life. It looks like those hammers are going through the DSL bar.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Oh my, I didn't notice that, looks like they pretty much intersect those dsl, bars, I think i may be able to lower them somewhat though.

Is it allowed if it is a small overlap in which say I could theoretically cut slots in my DSL bars?

Lol, I will apply myself to fixing that issue then.

And it was said somewhere earlier that mini ray was something of a copy of one of your bots Robo shark, I do apologize I was not trying to copy any of your designs, but you are pretty much the king of HS so i suppose its impossible

There is something Called the "Overlap rule"

You can angle them so they intersect, but don't cut through the Bar entirely. Under 25% overlap will do.

(It's under 25% to keep the weight realistic. 1 fully stacked Razors shouldn't be 14 KG now, but If only one of the blades ross it is forgiveable...)
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

Not that 80 dsl bar is bad or anything, but some other stabilizer/tail choice might include

Vlad Spikes (18kg) Non normal weapon for better return damage
Overkill Blade (20kg) Very long

80 Titanium Skirt (8kg) High HP, Low Weight

He's talking about the Vlad the Impaler forklift... not the Vladiator spike.

Great to see people taking other people's advice and upgrading their bots!

For a better challenge, download the NAR AI pack v2.0 (and 2.1 soon!).

Now I has two cookie (:

Anyhow internet memes aside.

I find lightweights easy to build due to their relative simplicity, it is when i try building middleweight or heavy weight bots i get confused and end up screwing up and making something that doesnt deserve to exist. Any tips? Like what should i focus on with a heavy weight, wedges weapons armor? how much weight should go to each part?

And can someone please explain popup to me, I just don't understand them.
