well for starter darkrat worked at burger king...thats all i know besides acams and starcore are about the same age =P

lol I owned a burger King .
But thats not where I learned anything about computers.I was a coin operator for 15 years (Video / Pinball / Pooltables) I was the lead technition for those games. I started well over 20 years ago on computers, I have a couple of games programed under my belt along with other mod's for games in the past.
As for starcore he also has a long bacground in computers and works for a computer company. ACAMS also owns his own business in auto motive repair so he has all the motor knowledge.
Goose is a post secondary student and has very good knoledge of computers.
For ages Starcore/ACAMS/Myself are all in our late 30's and higher.Goose is the young guy ;)

I just wanted to set things straight before you all went and worked at Burger king to get better knowledge on computers . (LOL)

There's gonna be a preview sometime today. But i'm not really allowed to post this because it "clutters up the thread for people who want to see the previews".

About the double Perm:  It can be mounted externally (so you can use it for vertical spinners easily  ).  Using more than one of them (or stacking them) is going to be nigh impossible with each one weighing 250 kgs.

Here's another exciting motor to be included in DSL 2.0 for your enjoyment.  There's a new, ultra-powerful weapon motor, so there's got to be an ultra-powerful drive motor to go with it, right?  So say hecko to the pushybot's best friend: the E-Tek drive motor.  This thing makes those old HP Z-Teks look like servos, thanks to the addition of a gearbox.

Just like in real life, it's going to take all your driving skills just to control a heavyweight with 2 E-Teks for drive (and you might as well forget about middleweights).  But if you can keep from missing your opponent and slamming into the walls, nothing compares to the awesome power in these bad boys.  The ultimate drive motor for heavyweight wedges, pushybots, and thwackers.

Q: How can you have a Tornado Mer gearbox, but no Tornado Mer?

A: You can't!!!

That's why the big, nasty HW bar spinner Tornado Mer is making an appearance in DSL 2.0.  This bot had a relatively short career, but it was a devastating one, and this new real robot replica lives up quite well to the real Tornado Mer's power.  It features a 90-kg blade powered by a Tornado Mer gearbox (of course), 5 mm steel armor, fully functional self-righting, and everything else you see in the picture.

It's a very nice replica. There's one little thing though. The paint job is a tiny bit blurry and low qualityish. The bar looks awesome!

Well You can't help that because the game makes the paint job blurrier.

But very nice thing indeed.

Well the only way I know of to fix the bluriness is to make a component shell to put over the top of the bot, but I think it's kind of not nessasary because the blade (will probably) spins so fast that you wouldn't be seeing the chassis all glossy and stuff.

Today you get to see another new replica, and a very unique AI opponent.  Why is it so unique?

Because when's the last time you've had to fight an opponent with a flamethrower??

Bob, a little-known but very dangerous LW flamethrower bot, is making an appearance in DSL 2.0.  With its inexpensive wood-and-plastic-with-a-bit-of-metal construction, Bob is an easy opponent to underestimate, but anyone doing that will quickly realize their mistake once their bot is on the burner.  The real Bob has KO'd bots up to the caliber of YU812, and although this virtual version is incapable of KO's (because of the way flamethrowers work), it can certainly rack up enough points to compensate.

In addition, you can see the brand-new flame texture for DSL 2.0, and there is a good possibility that you might see Bob's flamethrower show up as a stock component.

It's a good thing I've seen Bob fight live at almost every TC Mechwars tournament, because the only recent picture I could find of it is this:
http://www.buildersdb.com/botpics/2676.jpg

So the replica is built mostly from memory, which explains the lack of detail on the skin, but I think it still turned out nice.  Also, the mudflap side armor really isn't solid white, it just looks that way in the bright test garage lights.
