Bouncy components?
« on: February 16, 2011, 04:00:45 PM »
To make a component bouncy I edit the Elasticity in the GMF right? I want to make something incredibly bouncy, to make something like an explosion. Would putting ELASTICITY 4.0 work?

EDIT: Changing the elasticity doesnt do anything...

Elasticity is related to how bouncy the object is but 4 is still kind of low. Take a look at the AON Arena or the Grape Cannon if you are looking for a working example.

in the right section?

also anything to high and it causes havok.. I wouldnt go over 100 at the absolute most.

when modding its easier to build up... why not start at 30 then slowly increase until your happy..

For some reason elasticity (and friction) doesn't apply to components attached to your bot.  It only works on arenas and loose objects, like cannonballs.

I was disappoint when I found out I couldn't make a bumper that would fling bots across the arena.
