I've been bugging my dad for some time to finish the train layout in our attic.

I have to cross train tracks to get to class in the morning. Sometimes the train is there and the traffic gates are down. The train is purple. The end.

For once the mods did something right

I liked trains when I was a kid. I still think steam locomotives are cool, but that is all.

It's a simular story in my camp, come to think of it. But then again, I do find some diesels pretty cool as well. The Warship Class 42 was a definite favourite   :approve:

Come to think of it...does anyone know how Flying Scotsman's renovation is coming along? Last time I saw it in the NRM, its smaller wheels were being painted, but there was no sign of the chassis or tender.

Thought so. Even if it's taking a while, it'll be great to see that lovely old engine running again

Really? I didn't know that. But then again, knowing is half the battle   ;)

One instance of seeing a working engine I remember well was when the A4 Sir Nigel Gresley came through Lincoln in 2009.
