Knowing him, he'd probably be all "YAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH BASH HIM HE INSULTED CHAOS IN THE TORPEDO", so he'd be fairly easy to stop and counter-attack.

And a coward would run and hide rather than use a gun.Still... Manly men use melee weapons.Besides, it certainly doesn't have the same feel to crush an opponent with your fists/melee than with a gun.Also swordfights are cooler and more dramatic. You know it.
