I realise and acknowledge that fact, but what I do know is that the one thing keeping Jonzy from being AU is his attitude- sure he's a good builder, but he's quite short-tempered about quite a few things.

Where did you or Badnik have success in a tournament? The only 2009 members who fall under both that category and hosting successful tourneys, AFAIK, are SM, possibly Craaig and myself.

Well, I do try to contribute where I can in entering tournaments and things, and have been around for a long time- it's ultimately naivete in the field of things like recording and AIing that has prevented me from doing things like Tournaments.

If I had the necessary skills, I'd have hosted some a long time ago. but I don't want to make the GTM n00b's crucial mistake, thinking they can run before they can walk, in how they try to start tournaments as soon as they join without any of the necessary skills.
Hence I want to take my time in learning, and being absolutely sure I'm capable of running a tournament before I actually go out and do so.
 
And as for that whole "Acting the Foal" thing, you've got to admit I'm at least a bit more mature than several members on these forums- the stupid things I tend to do are more down to emotional insecurity, really. I try to control it, and I have improved over time, though.
 
And the "Forever Blank Flanks" thing? Yes, thanks for using a Fantastic Slur to describe me

• Third Place in Replica Wars (and got the Coolest Robot award) - Cassius II
• Joint-third in US vs UK - Spitfire
• Loser's Bracket Semi-Finalist in BTTB2 - Son of MSHD
• Twice Semi-Finalist in Replica Wars 2 and 3 - Purse and Kronic
• Third Place in the Wildcard in BBEANS6 - Mr. Punch

GF and Jonzu have both pribably contributed more than me. I did enter 5 of the BBeans tournements and got 3rd place in BBeans2 but thats about it. However the only active members that I can recall being around longer than me are Frezal, Clickbeetle, Scrap, Roboshark, and Acams. (and maybe Naryar I'm not sure when he joined)

Look, there's no hard and fast way of becoming an Advanced User. As VB said, you can earn it by being a high-level builder (Ounce, 123savethewhales, etc.), a good tournament host (G.K.), or putting a good AI pack together (Naryar). The main thing to do, however, is to be a productive and helpful member around the forums. So stop complaining about it and just enjoy yourselves, 'kay? =)
