http://www.latimes.com/la-mag-april052009-backstory%2C0%2C786384.storyThis article repeatedly mentioned that Area 51 does not exist. It is a reputable source (AKA, a major newspaper), so you cannot say that it is one guy's opinion.

Well I learned in science class a while ago that Earth used to be described as something known as a primordial soup, containing many essential compounds and amino acids of life. When an electrical charge is passed through this mix, molecules are formed that reproduce. It is thought that it is possible that life evolved from these "protocells" as they are known.
im just waiting for meganerdbomb to come along and kick things into gear.
and the chances of them being at the same stage in their evolution as we are are practically nil.
You're always gonna have disagreement on that front, there's always going to be different views about where life on Earth first originated from, and the reason is that there's really no way that you can ACTUALLY prove any one of them to be right. But going back to the main point, there is definitely going to be another form of life in the universe, it's almost a certainty, because it's really just chance that we're here at all, and I'm not wanting to offend any religious people on the forum by saying that, but it's just my view. And there's just as good a chance that life could be sustained anywhere else in the universe. Chances of them actually finding us is very very slim, and the chances of them being at the same stage in their evolution as we are are practically nil.
