I am having pork right now.

Surprisingly, even after waiting a few days in the fridge, it is pretty good and tasty if you fry it in olive oil with salt, pepper and curry.

Only problem is the boiling olive oil :P  And yes, I know, olive oil isn't (supposedly) fitted for cooking, but it's still good and the oil does not burn.

Olive oil is great for cooking. You just don't want to use the Extra Virgin stuff for high heat applications.

Make Fretzals!
To make a proper fretzal, I would need to use lye. Since I don't want to risk severe burns, I think I'll hold off. Of course, I could always use baking soda and then apply an egg wash for browning.
And of course the secret ingredient that makes those white circles appear   :laughing

A little bit of truck stop diner food for ya. It's a slice of ham with some red-eye gravy.



You coat the ham in flour and fry it in some fat. (The traditional fat is ham fat, though I just used butter.) After getting a good crisp on both sides, deglaze the pan with some black coffee. Do a little mixing and pour the gravy right on the ham.

Oh, and a sweet potato pie!



I was going to make a meringue for a topping, but got lazy. Whipped cream works well enough (or, nothing at all!).

Mega bump. Why has this thread fallen into oblivion ?

Anyways... I have prepared ray fish wings with tomatoes, capers and garlic, all that in oil, hoping that it would add to the taste of the fish. I find manta ray really tasty, so I bought frozen manta ray wings a few ays ago. My first time cooking ray as well.

It's ok. Not as tasty as I wished but with the sauce it's pretty good.
