I have a Creative Zen X-Fi, and I connect it to my 360 to play music pretty much every time I play CoD 4.
It plays BRILLIANT video
and music,
has good memory,
can have an SD card,
is compatible,
is stylish,
and is cheap.
The choice is obvious.
EDIT: and has decent headphones.
Creative Zen X-Fi. Second to the iTouch, but cheaper and with an SD slot.
