if you have an nvidia card, you should be able to remove black bars by going to the nvidia control panel and changing the scaling to full screen.

alternatively you could edit the cfg to whatever your monitor resolution is.

(Image removed from quote.)

The basic premise is, this an axe robot exclusive tournament. I feel as if Axe robots are somewhat neglected, as Flippers and Discs have basically taken over, and I want them to have some love too.

I will be AI’ing the robots, unless you want to give me specific bindings (in this case just send them over with your entry.)

Nobody can be entered until a bot is received and accepted by me.

I won't be entering the tournament.

The tournament will be run in DSL 2.2, and is strictly IRL. By this I mean that if I don't think the robot could be made IRL, I will reject it without question, and ask for you to change the part which I feel isn't IRL, or to send an entirely new entry. However, if you can provide me with some photographic evidence that it is possible, I will reconsider.

I will be accepting 16 entrants, which if not filled by the deadline, will be available for already entered contestants to enter another robot. I'm not setting the deadline yet until this is in sign-ups as it may take a while to gather interest and/or solidify the rules.

The weightclass of robots in the tournament are to be Middleweight. (Up to 398.9kg/399.0 – The game sometimes doesn't feel like accepting bots on 399.0 to be MW for some reason)

I will accept bots that fall into a weight category lighter than specified, but not the other way around. (For obvious reasons.)

I am forbidding;

All custom components
Custom Smartzones
All AI parts
All cheatbot2 parts except cosmetic/decorative parts (1 judge burst motor is allowed also)
The Frenzy Hammer

BFE is eligible for making your robot more IRL looking and burst motor arc editing ONLY.

AAM, Thyrus Glitch, ZeroG, Text Editing or any other out-of-game modification (Apart from skins obviously) are also forbidden.

In-game glitches, such as Stacking, eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading, Snapper Loading etc is also forbidden.

Only axe robots are allowed in this tournament. This includes side axes, such as those seen on Splinter for example.

Concussion weaponry, such as Sledgehammers are also prohibited, as in my opinion, a hammer is not an axe. Only piercing style Axes are allowed. Weapon spam is forbidden, so try not to make an axe with 17 thousand spikes on the end.  :thumbup

The Dominator spike is allowed.

Hybrids Ruling

-Hybrids are allowed. However, If a robot does have more than one weapon the axe MUST be the primary/main weapon on the robot.
-This includes robots like 834ST, where the axe and flipper are one system. (But obviously 834ST's primary weapon was its flipper so do refrain from making a complete 834ST clone.)
-Mortis style robots are also allowed, as long as the flipper isn't the main focus of the robot.
-Rammers, Spinning Disks or Flywheels are not allowed, as they defeat the objective of the tournament.
-Flamethrowers are allowed. (If flamethrower Hybrids are actually a thing people want to do.) Again, the axe must be the main weapon however.

Clusterbots are allowed, and they have to add up to the weight of a MW. BOTH bots have to be destroyed/immobilised for the whole robot to be eliminated. Also, both robots must require axes. You can't have one with an axe and the other with a flipper and call it a hybrid.

Walkers, shufflers etc are forbidden.

The format is standard deathmatch elimination, there will by 3rd and 4th playoffs however.

I will use the BBEANS 2 to be used and hazards will be on. (I may give it a reskin.)

Robots are allowed one Havok Restart a battle, a second Havok will result in automatic disqualification. Note, I am only restarting a match if the Havok affects the general progression of the battle.

Time will be the standard 3 mins. If time runs out, I will be a judge and will use Robot Wars judging criteria (S, C, D, and A.)

Bots can be upgraded as long as it's before the end of the sign-ups deadline and I approve the change.

There will be an awards section after the tournament, this will also include any grudge matches and fantasy matches.

I am forbidding any super-fast robots that I feel are unrealistic.

Lastly, There will be a rule that a robot will have to be showing controlled movement, if the robot is moving but is upside down for example, it will be given ten seconds to self-right or it is considered immobile. This excludes being stuck on a wall, or if a bot is being pushed around upside down by it's opponent(s).

Ideas? Comments? Rule changes? Anything I missed? Slap it down in the replies.

This is now a signups thread and the rules quoted may not change.

I would less to stress that if you are thinking about entering this tournament that you read the rules through very carefully first.

I have already had to reject two entries because of violation of the most basic rules.

Kok rejected.

I swear you guys are trolling me. I've had yet another entry rejected due a a basic rule being overlooked.

The tournament is Middleweight. I've now made it perfectly clear in the OP.

Thyrus rejected

I'm sure you didn't mean January 3, it being a month and a half in the past.  Just to be clear, is it actually March?  Or April?

Not wrong per-say. Europe generally puts dates as day/month/year. Us Americans do it wrong, just like with our measurement systems.
