Rules
-Ironforge MW (Excluding smartzones and ballasts, 125.0 to 200.0)
-DSL-S building style, standard DSL-S ruleset (no AAM, BFE, Hax mode etc)
-Unlimited entries (max 2 per person)
-Bracket format will be GTMCS style.
-Vaporzone, 3 minute fights, hazards off
-I can AI, but not very well, I strongly suggest you AI your bot yourself.
-I reserve the right to decline a bot for ANY reason, and I will do so if a bot is going against the spirit of the rules.
-No meltybrain, or custom .py's
-TRFBDs, SnS and crawlers are banned
-No custom components that do not come with a fresh IF install, this includes skinned components
-1 havok restart per match per bot, any further havoks count as a round loss.
-Bots may not be updated after the first match has been recorded, except AI tweaks or skin changes
-Bots may not have a wedge. This includes chassis wedges, where the chassis wedge is intended to allow gutripping. Don't try to find a loophole in this rule, I will decline any bot that tries to circumvent it.
-Signups last for however long i feel like ayy lmao.

I will allow this to be approved, however, please focus on wrapping up The Forge and signing it off before you start an opinion poll.

Yeah, I'd get Forge 1 taken care of first. But a no wedges tournament? Hell yeah I'm in.

Edit: Just noticed the no pop-ups rule. I know people might fine a loophole, but I don't think it is needed with wedges banned and all that.

It's a redundant rule. For a robot to be a popup, it must have a wedge. If I were to get nit-picky, I'd say that the rules on chassis wedges would allow for the use of chassis wedge flippers because they don't gut rip. However, you've got that loophole rule, so no one can act on it, unless you made this point specifically for the exclusion of chassis wedge flippers, but I highly doubt that. I think it would have more simpler to just say "this includes chassis wedges."

the rule is there specifically so redace won't get ganged up by 19 wedge bots in the first round in a no wedge tourney

I meant more like bots that are crazy unstable and only have controlled movement as a technicality like Beer Goggles and HS with super long weapons

i agree with reier. also means if a bot spikeballs then it's going to fly out rather than flying around and randomly hitting the other bot.

Cases like that are why I state that I can reject a bot for any reason. I wouldn't let a spikeball like that to enter.

lol yeah. get rid of crawlers and setup a stricter controlled movement rule. we need to stop the obviously unstable HS/VS, or the ones that spend most of their time in spikeball mode.
