Author Topic: Tag Team challenge 2 Info/Discussion (Read 13224 times)

hey guys I'm currently planning a 2nd tag team tourney so i made this topic to give out some basic rules (if you are informed now it will give you more building time) and was wanting some feedback.

basic rules:
-It will be DSL LW's.
-normal DSL Realistic rules apply.
-No cheat parts or AAM, all bot building must be done in the bot lab.
-Robots must show controlled movement.

now i have some questions:

1. Should members of the forum team up or build a team alone(so everyone submits their own team)?
2. If people are paired up should teams be chosen at random or have people pick who they team with? (each has a good argument behind it)
3. Will we have enough entries for 16 teams (32 people) if people are paired up?

The tourney is still some time away because i am waiting for another tournament to finish (no idea how long that will be).

I disagree, I think what gave TT it's flair was that 2 members teamed up. When TT2 is here, I'm SO going to join.

Hmm.. 2 hours ago I would of said build alone, but Reier is right, teaming up is what it's all about.

@ Naryar: I'd like to team up with MikeNCR then :P and everyone thought that ACAMS and Starcore would dominate TTC1 and i don't think anyone expected Sage and sorrow to win and for ROBOSH4RK and myself to get 2nd.

Definitely teams of two people. I'm already using the two bot one person team idea for RAW 2, when that come around.

if MikeNCR doesn't enter I will if you want to team with me. i am still thinking about having a random name draw well before the tournament gets started to decide partners (would still have lots of time to talk to each other about the team) to make things more interesting..
