Hey Joe you know you don't actually need to skin all the components invisible right?  Just shove this in the arena py:

Code: [Select]
    def Introduction(self):
        for comp in xrange(1, plus.describe(0).count(" ")): plus.show(0,comp,0)
        for comp in xrange(1, plus.describe(1).count(" ")): plus.show(1,comp,0)
        yield 0

That will make everything except the chassis on both bots invisible before the match starts.  (The chassis can also be made invisible if you change the first 1 to a 0.)

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

:O Thank you very much mr beetle (sorry read this on my phone days ago but forgot to reply when I got back to my computer) huge time saver..

Sign Ups are expected to open on September 24, the signups phase will not have a time limit but will close 24 hours after the 16th robot is sent in.. 1 free update is allowed if its done before the close of sign ups, update means exactly that, update of the existing robot.. you may not send a different robot later so as to save your place..

Due to Clickbeetle just saving me hours of work now and further down the track I will hold you a place from the opening time on the 24th until the end of the 25th (central time) in the event the sign ups fill up before the close of the 25th, I will accept the next legal entry and hold it as a substitute that will slip in if Click doesnt take his place.

Damn it, I can't choose what to build. All my somewhat original anti HS designs have a fatal flaw, me building a HS would get boring since we all know there's gonna be at least five single-HPZ 9-macers on this, a rammer will get raped by the first popup it would fall on (if it does fall on one), a popup is way too dangerous to enter and not reliable at LW level, a SnS can't reach the weapon weight and spinning speed a HS gets... damn.

VS would be an option but will clearly get outweaponed by a HS... in overall I can't find anything else worth entering than a rammer, seeing that LW popups are much more rare than HS and rammers in overall.

Due to personally tragic reasons (hence my lack of activity in the last 3 days) I dont really feel comfortable at this stage going with the "Graveyard" arena and other similar themed content..

So its either postpone the tournament (Id rather not do it since I want some projects to keep my mind occupied) or face-lift it a bit..

So if anyone has any existing arena suggestions (including Backlash arena's in the preview thread) feel free to suggest them..

Sorry for any inconvenience..

You were planning on using the old XTY arena for this last year, iirc? How about we go back to that?

Sorry to hear that.  I hope everything is going to be ok Joe.  If someone close to you passed away, maybe the arena could be dedicated to them in honor.

Nearly finished a new arena for this.. the only clue I will give at this stage is its a heavily modified Metal Skull Arena..
