No, i just knew Pwn was the killer right there, than Tyrus was barely going to count and that you would be outwedged.

I like 'overhead' Flail bots because of their unique design. But overall they're not very effective. For the same reason CB's was cool...
Nice job, on this one too...
Input is appreciated. :)
-Arrogance is a quantity devoid of quality...
-As a client once told me "This is my story, and it's sticking to me!"
-Relationships these days are like the 'Arrival' section of the airport: a lot of baggage is being revealed in one place, and not a lot of it is being correlated to its real owners...

If you're a top builder, you can perfectly mix originality, cool looks and combat efficiency in a bot.

Hard to do though.

I like originality, for sure, Joe.
True, anything can be improved, Nar.  And that's good. But there are some bot types that people tend to avoid, and other types that are more popular for tourneys;... all because of their intrinsic advantage/disadvantage(s)....
Input is appreciated. :)

hey Mad can you start a showcase haha or at least show me some of your bots I have only seen a small handful of yours and they were creative

Mad's response: (I wrote this here to not further spam Craaig's tourney thread)
Joe: I have soo much stuff, a lot of it experimental crap...err...prac-tical stuff. As far as bots, I'm like Trov, where I try out a new design and then see how it works, but once I know then I move on to another new project... SOW is one of several, but since Phil was also interested in the potential of SOWs, I followed up on it. Most designs I have tried are not efficient, just new/different. There's a new design for RAW-2 that may be or not be good; Pys (sympathy to him) and I are working together as a 'team' effort. He's a better regular bot builder for sure. I'm just trying some exp coding stuff to see if it helps...(Sage has been very helpful here too..).
BTW: I wanted to send you my whole game (about 3.5 gigs) of stuff so you can use whatever you'd like for your new game version. Better than collecting dust... There are hundreds of abnormal bot designs in there. Many are un-kosher coding/gmf freaks....Easier than posting them. I started Mad's Mods to show some of these experimental tweaks, but I just don't have time to post these things these days. Duh, I was going to start a thread on Evolution or Design, but I just can't follow through as of right now. People are waiting on the RAW-2 arena, so add that in there too....while daily answering question here on the forum.... So, if you'd like to PM/IM me your Ausie address, I'll send it over so you can see and also use anything in there you like.

I actually got several people asking me how I did my wedge, might as well tell,
1. Get metal hinge
2. Wire it.
3 If it didn't fly away put you wedge on it, if it did test arena then back.
4. While the wedge is down there add the plow.

Great, a true popup, probably the only bot type I dislike.  I should have done some more 1-on-1 testing in that arena before I submitted my entry, then I would know if my wedges were ≥ decent enough for the tournament.  Too bad I found that my wedges were only decent in that arena, oh well.  I'm also surprised how close that match was!
Good match!
