How many bots go through from each division? And what happens in the case of a tie?

2 and the bots that are tied at the end of division fights will fight for the spot or spots.

Yes, depending on the number of tied bots, if there are 2 bots tied in a division they will fight one on one, i there are 3 bots tide they will fright in a rumble and the last 2 surviving in the rumble will go through.

Also, how was it decided which robots got a bye in the first round?
