At the end of the day everyone has their preferences, but I don't think people should go around 'hating' other building styles. It's all part of RA2 history and unless you embrace that then THAT'S where you're doing RA2 wrong. Even Nary has built IRL. There is creativity in all styles, people just aim for the most efficient. It's the exact same in IRL, how many people enter bots with the prime objective of looking as real as possible rather than to win?
Anyway, back on topic...

DSL standard and IRL are both RA2 and both are fun to watch and build so yeah what Craig said back on topic and get to sending me some more entrants haha.

Note : I don't hate IRL, hell in plenty of cases I have said an IRL bot was cool, awesome or some combination thereof.

IRL is good for LOOKS and COOLNESS (although DSL-S can be just as good or better than IRL at that). However it's not good for proper fighting.

Therefore I wonder why all these people are so eager for IRL tournaments. It's not like you don't win IRL tournaments by spamming drums (or HS or VS) which are mostly the same designs in standard and IRL anyways...

damn i remember the time when the DSL tournaments were DSL so you could actually fight and not all this "not irl enough" nonsense.

I like IRL, Infact I cannot stand Non IRL, all robots are uninspired, going for the "Razor Rammer" or "Stick pointy things on tribars woop". IRL is how I believe RA2 should be played.
