thats why im good at BOTM and go out round 1 in every tournament XD

IMO it is perfectly realistic, there is a gap wide enough for wires to be passed through in all cases.

DSL realistic rules, were meant to be no glitches/stacking at least that's what i thought. and Joe you don't need to worry about the Box's fight-ability, just make it awesome to look at when it's being beaten up on

"All tournaments using the DSL mod are run with the realistic rule. This rule does not apply to stock tournaments unless otherwise specified. The realistic rule states, in general terms, that your bot must be built realistically (able to work in real life). More specifically,

No component can intersect another component that could not have a slot cut in it in real life.
This is easier to understand with an example. Suppose your bot has a spinning blade. A stationary armor plate can have a slot cut in it in real life, so it is allowable for the blade to pass through such an armor plate. However, you can't cut a slot in a wheel, since wheels spin. So if the blade passed through the bot's wheels, the bot wouldn't be allowed. Batteries and motors also can't have slots cut in them, so intersecting these components is also not allowed. Finally, the blade could not completely bisect (cut in two) the bot, since if you cut a slot all the way through in real life, it would just fall apart.

No stacking of batteries or air tanks is allowed.
This is a corollary of point 1, but is somewhat less intuitive.

No chaining of motors is allowed.
Judging realism is mostly a subjective assessment and, as such, there is some tolerance associated with these rules. It is allowable if two moving components are only very slightly intersecting, and if you have a reasonable explanation for how your design could be built in real life, it might be allowed even if it violates some of the above rules."

Of course, you can do your own rules if you like.

weird, i thought the trov glitch would have been against one of the DSL rules

. well it's certainly won't be allowed in Robo Zone as I want a level playing field between all entries.

It doesn't make it un-level really, it just allows unusual chassis designs.

if it was allowed just think of the fuss it would cause. you would have people against it saying it's a glitch and shouldn't be allowed then you would have others saying it should be because it's realistic

I would prefer no fuss in the tournaments I host.

I've never seen it used in tournaments such as BBEANS, the rule might need to be reviewed?
