But I'm still having trouble deciding what to enter. Every time I've built something, this is usually the case-

1) It's too heavy
2) It's crap
3) Both of the above

Can you takes something off if it's too heavy? I had to lose Dr. Inferno Jr's rear skirt; it weighted 18 kg's and I only had 2 to spare.

Anyway, what can I do? I've been having trouble building a feasable design, and I've got a Third Seeding to defend.

IIRC astros are made for drive not weapons like piglets are, that's what angers Nar.

Would be, considering it had two-wheel drive and ramming spikes. You could dedicate the weight to fast drives and heavy armour :P

Finally, I'm getting somewhere. I've got a Purse replica prototype up and running. It'll need some little touches here and there, but once I'm done, I'll hopefully be onto entering with a real contender.
