Giga, I've got Speed king.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

I must have interpreted it wrong. Looking at the N slot thing... I think My bout is against the loser of the match between Pinball and Classy.

Mad, no need to worry about probabilities.

The only thing to worry about is the arena.

It favors really fast bots, allowing for an immediate rush, unlike BBEANS4 that favored spinners (especially horizontal), and the ironic thing is that there was very few horizontal spinners in BBEANS, and few fast bots in RAW. If I count well, there's only PSI, InfCon and Lu-Tze as fast bots (all 4WD). All the others are have either a decent speed (Mako 4, obZen) or really slow (yours, BLAH)

IMO, in this arena, the good setup is: a fast and wedgy bot (including low ground clearance), stable enough, with light but gut-ripping weapons. Psi and InfCon are the two better suited IMO (although I haven't seen Psi's speed). Lu-Tze is good too but will fall prey to a better wedged bot. You know what will happen to the other bot especially if he's a heavily weaponed bot like BLAH.

______

But the strange thing is: how the heck can Blah could one-hit-destroy your weapon, that is a disc protected by several spinning hammers at a nice speed? Oh, wait, that's perhaps like Speed King VS Classy Paintjob, the angular speed wasn't fast enough?

Whatever the case... That explains why those doggone HumDrums beat T O U R Q U E. Actually, they are perfect for this arena. My bot sucks when it's in tight spaces. In Speed Kings case, A Sit and Spin rarely beats a VS due to the simple fact that it uses up more energy to make a blow. It also stops completetly upon impact and has to spin up again (in most cases). VS simply bounce off their opponent with temporarily-decreased speed. But everyone knew this...

I don't think any of the fights involving bots wired with switches would have been different if they were wired with buttons.  Mako 4 is too low and fast for Destroyer to grab on to and throw.  You can see that in the third round when Destroyer finally gets up to speed.  But it would be a good thing to fix for the future, just in case it does end up making a difference.

On the other hand, Archimandrite might actually have won if its weapon spun a bit slower, so it didn't start tumbling right away in every fight.  Such is fate.

I just want to see what would of happened, I'm not talking about changing the brackets. But I think that the fight would of been different if it did have a Button.

LOL looks like my bot was a lump of dog excrement after all, ah well looks like it's back to the drawing board, for the 11th time counting all the other plastic i've entered in other tourneys. I am however working on an awesome DSL bot which does kick ass, in startcore, i will never know if it owns in DSL because i don't have DSL ai oponents in my game, just the components and even some of them are missing, sorry for being a rambling novice it's just i can't explain how excuciatingly crap i am at this game.
I blame physics.

There's your problem.

I've been told off for that as well. Use DSL AI or sumthin.

About the switch vs button: most bots that were sent to me had a switch in the wiring. I just figured thats what the builder wanted, like i kept the smartzone in there if they put it in there themselves.

@joecb1991: the spinup looks slower because when i film videos it lags a little, as you can see sometimes. that or the switch.

sorry if you guys are upset about the switches. if it really cripples a bot during a fight, i will fix it, otherwise id rather not go through and rewire everything again. took long enough the first time.

just FYI, little darling of Sv3 had a switch, if i remember correctly.

I do want mine fixed, I used a Switch because it was easier than holding the space bar down for the entire match, and I did not know that the AI would do that.

And I did check the time on the bottom, in 4 seconds it wasn't even close to full speed, but normally it is at full speed in two seconds.

Blah has
(a) 2 huge sledges (on one end)
(b) that hit simultaneiously
(c) and are mounted far from the motor's axis (i.e. high speed).

That's how...

These make Blah the perfect 'Daisy plucker' *hehe*, for it perfectly exploited Daisy's main weakness, that most other bots probably wouldn't.
Other bots would probably fair somewhat better against Blah than Daisy...
But I think Blah will do well, ...if it stays upright and avoids the walls.
Input is appreciated. :)

I've been studying Mechanics and Kinematics too, Mad. I know about that. And RA2 theory too.

I was wondering how could BLAH one-hit rip that disk protected by several quickly spinning hammers.

_____________

And Blah WILL get owned by the first fast bot he'll fight. He may have insane destructive power, but no defenses and spins up slowly.

It would be very easy to flip over, and then you could just obliterate the chassis.

I think I have a pretty good chance against Deprivator, and if not, I will be against... Either Daisy Might or Destroyer... Damn, those are not good matchups for me.

I think that I might be able to knock Daisy's weapon off in a couple hits, and then all I will have to do is keep the hammers attached long enough to break the wheels off.

Blah also got around 8000 points on each good hit, and mine can usually get between 4000 and 6000. I also think that the disc that Daisy used isn't very strong, so if I get 2 or 3 good hits in I can probably break it off. I also know that my bot is faster, and I can probably pin it against the wall if I don't flip over when the weapons hit each other.

I'm glad that i'v won the first match for now GBBS will fight Epic Failure. i feel particulary honoured to meet this incredible bot. Will it come from the same strange Bolchoï as it little BBean brother ? If there's a Torro who should like it's Torero, than it's GBBS. Hope GBBS gives a good fight.
