Oh Nary, it just means you have bad luck. Doesn't make you a bad builder.

And 40757, I wasn't trolling? But Blue Snappers are for-the-lose.

Can't wait for the feature showdown of round one... >:)

Sage, thanks for the great AI on my bots (probably was easy... but thanks anyways)

B&B performed as designed... Though it looked like they got in each others way. I put them together to work with each other.  They Slowly attack without causing much damage to each other.  I didn't think I would say this, but given the circumstance of the arena, I am glad I used RAD motors instead of something faster like HPzs.  Keeps them out of trouble I think.

I think most of us are wishing we made pushers now for this tourney.

As for the starting positions, it's the only way I could think of to get this arena to work the way it did. Especially having the fire grates where they are...

Perhaps you could of made the fire grates closer to each other, perhaps even interjoining. Perhaps a little smaller too, so there's more space for the corners to be used as starting points.
Maybe raising the grates again would help, as well.

Ofcourse it's a bit late now, but eh.

You got lucky on that one, I would have won if BoneBreaker wasn't counted out.

Teacat: Welcome to gametechmods!

Could someone explain what those 4 question marks actually do. 1 seems to zap lazors at another bot, 1 didn't get pressed, and Idk what the others did. Could anyone explain please?

It looks like two of the ones in opposite corners zap one of the enemy bots with electricity, which disables them for a brief time (so they're actually GOOD for you to activate).  Another one makes a barrel fall down in the middle of the arena, and like you said the fourth one was never triggered.  But since there are two electricity hazards, the fourth might be another barrel.

I'm still not sure what JoeBlo's RY3NO is supposed to do.  Are the flippers on the bottom designed to add force to its flips?  Or is it supposed to jump over other bots and hit their tops?

He said to dodge HS, but I think they're too strong, Joe.

RY3NO is designed to dodge other robots attacking it from the side or rear using smart zones to tell it what combination to fire the flippers below, it can perform barrel rolls and forward flips successfully from a still (so not moving)

Ahh... clever idea.  The only problem is, you have to land again after you launch yourself.  Unless you launch yourself really really far, the other bot is going to be there waiting for you to come down.  If it wasn't for that little issue it would be a good strategy.

it works fairly well but with one large problem.....

like a lot of wonderful ideas I have this one doesn't fair to well in non 1 on 1 situations..

it seemed that it would dodge one of your robots and in the meantime jump right into the other one

another problem is if its "flight path" is disrupted it usually lands butter side down meaning its open to more attacks

still fun to play with though :-D

On the topic of the 4 question marks-

1. Lightning strike, hurts & temporarily immobolizes nearest bot (could be your teammate!). Watch out!

2. Fireball, hurts nearest bot and lights it on fire (again, could be your own teammate!).

3. Object drop, drops a damaging object in the middle of the arena. Could be a barrel, a fridge, a grape crate, or 4 cinder blocks (randomly chosen).

4. Phantom wall, allows bots to pass through the wall as if it wasn't there. (Turns green)

Hope that clears things up!
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Not really, the hazards ain't that damaging. The winner is decided by pushing power, as in: Who ever pushes a bot into the corner is the loser!
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.
