Maybe we could make an official RA2 torunament? done online, without being filmed just like back when the others were held?

If so:
Stock HW
no AAm or BFE
realism
cheatbot2 allowed
no custom components
fights will be in standard tournament tree
arena will be the RA2T2 arena
fights will be non-hamchi online
not flimed

Just a thought.

Um Sparkey98 maybe you should wait till you get more respect before you make a tourney ok and From I see for online its laggey and not filmed? What about the people who want to see the fights?

Stock does not go great with realism.
And custom components are cheatbot2 parts (can't use them online).

Inf spoke about a 3rd provider so lag is even

but this will just spam HS robots becasue of the lag... DK beat my pop up online once just by holding the spin of his HS.. he couldn't do much else with lag

If this was done, it should be:

-MW (HW causes too much lag)
-No realism rule (It didn't even exist before DSL)
-No AI parts or Snapper II's (these were banned from official play in the old days)
-Maximum of 16 competitors with single elimination (or 8 with double). Possibly only allow "regular" members who won't disappear mid-tournament. The size needs to be kept manageable so interest can be kept up and there won't be a couple slow people holding up the whole tournament.

But there's a reason all the tournaments nowadays are AI, and back in the days of online tournaments the number that were successfully completed can be counted on your hands. People need to be VERY enthusiastic about this or it won't get off the ground.

i'm fine with all of that, maybe it should be AI, but STILL oficial, like not just a tourny, like having a message on the front page for the official tourny, or else it's another AI tourny.

It won't be official unless we get approval from Atari. Not gonna happen. Closest we have to official these days is BBEANS.
