Hmm... not happy that I lost 1/12 of my weapons, since every single one counts, but at least I removed quite a few from Strato as well and also take off a couple of its wheels.

Now, I'm not liking the looks of my next match at all.  I just hope Voulez-Vous will have a hard time reaching my chassis.

Let's see what round 4 looks like...

BoomBox > One Way Ticket - They're both evenly match in terms of speed and weaponry, but irons just aren't as durable as maces.
X-Press > Grinding Noise - We all saw what happened the first time they met.  Hopefully X-Press will take off the other wedge this time around.
The Beast > Golden Sun - The Beast still has plenty of weapons, while Golden Sun has next to if not none left.
Plutonium < Rider On The Storm - Plutonium has just enough weapons to take on Rider On The Storm, but since it's so worn out it most likely won't beat it.
Voulez-Vous > ReFlection - ReFlection is weak against VSs, and even though V-V is very much a FS, it still comes pretty close.  I'll be lucky if I have at least half my wheels left by the end of this round.
Bullet Train < Triceratops - Even though Bullet Train still has the weapons to beat Triceratops, its opponent's wedge means it will have a hard time putting those weapons to use, even if axe heads aren't the best weapons for Triceratops' design.
Speedy DX > Meatshield Redux - Speedy DX is missing a few weapons, but it doesn't matter since there's almost nothing left of Meatshield Redux.
Stratocaster < Revolutions Per Minute - Stratocaster's too narrow to deflect hits from RPM, plus it's at a weapon disadvantage, but after seeing what happened to RPM last round, it might have a chance to score significant damage.
Blood Shed < The Injection - Even with over half its weapons missing, it still has more potential to do damage than Blood Shed.
Supernovae 2.1 > Unexpected Nightmare - Despite having take 25% damage, it still has plenty of weapons left.  Seeing how Unexpected Nightmare is missing a few itself, Supernovae shouldn't have any trouble taking off more.
Trollestia 2 > Fang - After Grinding Noise dealt that crippling blow to Fang , I don't see how, with half of its weapons gone, it has a chance against a bot that has taken no damage so far.
Effing Stock < This Fire - Reluctant to call this one, after expecting This Fire to push around its last opponent, only to get its control board destroyed by it instead.  However, unlike ROTS, Effing Stock doesn't look like it has enough power to KO This Fire.
Frag Beetle 2.1 > Your Best Frenemy - Again, I'm not sure about this one, but the exposed chassis sides of YBF look like fodder for Frag Beetle's hammers.
BlackVein > D.O.G. - BlackVein might be the bot to finally put D.O.G. out of its misery.

Anyhow, as long as I can stay on my wheels, I reckon I could do reasonably well. Speedy DX wasn't too bad of a matchup for me, this looks kinda similar. Good luck, kill.

PROS: I lasted longer in a stock tournament than Pwn or Starcore

Wouldn't be so sure about that, I've lost a ton of weapons, and you'll probably just slide off to the side of my bot whilst I only do 200 damage per hit.

Yeah, but you'll probably lose half of your remaining weapons.  Plus those exposed chassis sides have cost you a match already, and it might happen again here.

In hindsight it would seem like building a high-power flipper for this would have been smart...the opponent can't damage your bot much if you're flipping them around the arena the whole time.

But you can't damage them. It would be impossible to win.

In the preliminary rounds it doesn't matter since you just need to avoid damage. The final is a rumble so let the other three bots pick themselves off. Then when it's just your flipper and the weakened opponent, you can use the hazards to KO them. And if not, at least you get second. :P
