By "parts" I am referring to the parts which are placed on the baseplate (like the other bots, anchors for example). They CAN NOT be moved.

Reier, You still have more than two months to send in your entry. Why so quick? I've almost finished mine though so I suppose I can't talk...

Giga i have two questions:

-Can you make an AIed bot to ignore all arena hazards and is it legal to enter it?

-If I want to use a multibot (let's say in only one of the tournaments, and two middles in the others), all the bots (four at max) must have the same chassis, the two MW bots must have the same baseplate setup, but the multibots baseplate setup can be anything else?

1- Yes it's possible (mad correct me if I'm wrong). I will indeed count it as legal as well. As long as it abides with the other rules I previously posted.

2- I am going to have to say that that would be illegal. Remember that Multibots count only as one bot. Hence, they MUST be together in every tournament; otherwise it would be like entering half of a bot. Since the rules state that you can only enter one bot with 3 different alterations, those alterations only apply to the multibots. Any other bots that you wanted to enter in the other tournament would not qualify, as they would count as a completely different bot. This is despite the fact that they have the same chassis and setup.

I think that multibots shouldnt be alowd.
Lets face it, on tabletop its 1 pusher vs 2 pushers, so you could be pushing 1 of them, then the other comes along ans knocks you off, no fair!
If they're about the size of a lightweight, or 2 small bots that make the size of a middleweight, then that would be ok.
Damn I should probably put something fancy in this bit huh?

Wham that's funny because the "no fair thing" is exactly what i plan to enter.

__________

Giga, that means you have to get EXACTLY the same chassis setup in all of your entered bots (the middleweight(s) and the multibots), amirite?

Also,if you use a multibot in a non-KotH, are you forced to use a multibot in the other non-KotH tournament?

If the TT and KoTh matches are 4 bots each, how will you put in a multibot without it trying to kill each other.

No, only the KotH is going to be a four bot rumble. Tabletop is one on one.

Reier: it can be done by modding the clawtop's main .py file, by adding 'TEAM MATCH' to the types of game, and you can play a team match on a tabletop. My Claw Top is already a Team Match arena too.

Yes, there's coding in the arenas that enables the bots to avoid hazards and floor edges. It's only a deterrant not a preventitive. And yes one could mod/tailor it.
Input is appreciated. :)

It seems that on tabletops, there is a certain randomness to who survives. This seems mainly do to the AI, especially visiible when you ram a robot off the edge, and the AI doesn't stop it as fast as it could. Thus, having two bots would make it more likely not to fall off.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

But there still would not be 4 competitors in the battle.

Read the darn rules!

But a multibot can't compete on the KotH of course.

As said before, a multibot is considered as only one bot.

Clarifying for everyone (and thanks for the help Mad): -sigh- As I said countless times, and this time I will put the text in red and bulleted for memorization:

If you are entering a multibot

-You can only submit your 1 multibot; the complete set of two identical LWs.

-You cannot submit any other bots than that complete set unless it's an alteration (weapons are only changed).

- NO extra MW will qualify if you already submitted a complete set. Even if it's identical. It makes things confusing.

@ Somebody & Reir - Why does the multibots rule seem unfair to either of you? You had no issues with a multibot entrant in BBEANS when my bot TOURQUE had to fight it.... My rule still stands, there will be multibots in the tournament. They both are practically LWs and remember, if one is thrown off, they both are out, despite the conditions.

It really isn't that complicated guys.

As for what a multibot can and cannot compete in is my issue. I am not using the stock TT, meaning that it will be configured to allow multibots to function properly (if there is any problems with such). True, the TT is a 1 on 1 match indeed. I will simply enter the extra bot to battle.
