We need to get Click to expand on this idea for DSL3.

One problem, why does it take 400 amps? If it uses air for fuel, which I'd expect, the amp draw should be more around 100. Besides, 400 amps is insanely high.

first off the "spin motor" base in the txt document is only programmed to take electricity, I tried making it consume air but it wouldn't it would only consume 0 electricity, the fuel tank is part realistic rule and also there since the motor is considerably smaller then something like a duel perm, also I couldn't make the weight for that little motor 180kg so the fuel tank makes up some weight. The amps I agrees are a little high, a duel perm takes in 309 so I might drop it back and make it better then a duel perm.

the fuel tank is basically a ballast it provides 0 air and 0 power its basically what I said before its their to make up weight for the motor.

and finally LiNcK its kind of the point to this tourney, the wider you want your base the higher it will have to be

When using a multibot in CC2, will both be in the qualifying?

sorry for the double post just clarified the qualifying rules regarding the event of a robot becoming immobile or eliminated (via pit or out of play) on the first page

Naryar told me that the Dual Perm consumes a little more than 100 amps...
Evidence..?:

And no the dual perm doesn't sucks 304 amps but a little more than 100 amps.

Also, I got the biggest chasis ever seen, Thanks to the Dual Perm >_>

If 50% of the weight is beaten the whole bot is out

It's a good rule, but couldn't "one of the multibots" be better than "50% of the weight" ? I can see abuse in this in the form of a multibot consisting of a SHW gut ripper and the second part is a very fast BW, just for bait to the opponent to come and destroy it, and the other SHW will take the opponent by behind and destroy it easily.

I have a bot that must be seen due to issues of legality. The weapon cleaves through the entire chassis, but nothing blocks the weapon itself.

Surely you can't have a hole right through the chassis or the bot would just fall apart?

I suggest that the weapon motor is either moved further away from the chassis or the weapon bar lenght smaller, so that it doesnt cut the chassis.

another way to do it is the greenwave style.
have the axle of the weapon stationary and use it to connect the chassis pieces together.

edit: here is a great example of one
http://www.freewebs.com/sdbuild1/
the motor above the weapon allows it to be closer to the ground.

yeah R1885 I will allow a robot that can have the weapons axle inside the chassis as a means of connecting the 2 parts

another option would be having the wedges joined together and the motor could stay the same (except for perhaps the stacked perms)

hmm that is a good point maybe that should be enforced, battlebots did it 50% weight as the swarm has 3 bots but maybe I will make it 50% of the cluster (they do after all gain a huge advantage in qualifying) like robot wars

hmm well the duel perm says 309amps in the destription and in the .txt file for the duel perm it says

Quote
elecMaxInOutRate = -3094

but the petrol motor will be dropped to a little over 100amps

:)

phew, their is my novel written for today, hope that clears up most questions

IMO clusters should be out after 50% of the weight.

it will stand as 50% of the weight but I will make it so that both parts of the cluster must be the same weight class (in this case heavyweight) this should stop the thing Naryar was saying with a AW as bait

Okay, and you can cut a bot in half with a disk in the middle

Swirlee from Battlebots, it beat SOW too.

the issue with R1885's bot was that the axle wasn't in the chassis it was part of the blade that cut the chassis in 2

also SOW killed itself in that fight against Swirlee they amped up the weapon speed which resulted in way to much G-Force in those hammers
