Not going to join, as Stock LW is IMO one of the most mundane and unoriginal areas of building I know.

Mundane and unoriginal ? Try stock antweight. ohgod

I might join if I can find an original(-ish) idea.
I'm honestly kinda given up on stock in most areas, since little expansion can REALLY occur. Definitely not going to enter.

I'll post my bots once signups are open. Can't AI still due to laptop broken.

I've moved to other forums. Under a different name. This is where it all began.

But so they will be no reason to choose a bot before a match and your opponent will choose a counter bot

That destroys the purpose of the tournament...

A one component difference does not constitute a different bot, by the way. There aren't really any exact parameters, but I can judge logically if two bots are considered "different" or not.

I was going to enter my 15 razor HS and my 9 mace HS. But that would have been overkill.

I have two ideas for bots, so I will most likely enter if I can find the time.

One includes an awful pun.

But it doesn't say otherwise. I mean what harm would it do?

Technically, there's nothing in the rules to stop you doing this. But when it comes to choosing a bot to face your opponent, you're effectively choosing from one robot. Thus the opponent's life is made infinitely easier. It defeats the entire objective of this tournament.

I'll see if I can make something for this. I was never one to make many Lightweights, but I'll try to make it work.

2 spots left!

Also, and I hope G.K. will let me do this, an extremely helpful modification to the rules occurred to me that just makes me feel stupid. Since most of you don't go on the forum every other day, rather than PM'ing me the bot you want to use for one match at a time, you can just do it all in one PM as soon as the splash is done. For example, if my bots were Tempus Fugit and Child's Play IV:

Team 1: Child's Play IV
Team 2: Tempus Fugit
...
Team 8: Tempus Fugit

It works because you should be able to choose one bot that has the best matchups against each team, no matter when you face them in the tournament, after you've seen them all in the splash.

I was going to do that anyway, I just assumed it would be OK.  However, you should be allowed to change your picks later too, if for instance you see a bot fight and decide your other bot would actually be better against it.
