Well, this is something i thought up at school today :P
Not planning to do it myself, maybe someone else, this is just an idea.
Since we have SO many bots who have won tournys, why not see who the best is?
So, say, all the tourny HW DSL winners can face each other, and see who the real champ is.
Might be interesting, something maybe for the end of the year once we have some of the current tournys out of the way (BBEANS, ELBITE, WRR, Ect)
So, whada you think?

I don't think there have been enough winners in each category to have a whole tournament.

Well, 1st & 2nd places?

Also, People that ended up in 2nd place would have a chance of a Re-Match. (If They want)
But the Tournament itself would be Best Of The Best.

Maybe it would not be a Tournament, But just to decide for a BOTY (Bot Of The Year)
And so that people could, As I said, Have a Re-Match against their opponents on some Tournaments, Coz maybe they think that it wanst a fair match, Or the map was the problem, Or just a glicht, Or something stupid they did.. IDK :P

We had discussed before doing an AI pack of Tourney Winners and/or of BBEANS top entries based on their Win/Loss ratings. Was part of why I liked seeing a Stock BBEANS for all the major classes (LW, MW, HW).

They would be AIed already. Didn't have to be a huge pack to have people value it. 15 teams of 3 bots in each team would be fine. Larger as needed.

Then do additional small but influential packs of DSL BBEANS (LW, MW, HW) or other tourney packages.

it would be very easy to host. no aiing and the bots are already "signed up". the only thing to have is a custom arena (maybe not) and a promo vid.

GameTechMods Allstars

at the end of the year with rumbles or miniature brackets depending on the amount of winners of each type, sounds like a good idea, It would be a fairly easy one to host, you just need to know how to skin an arena (something like allstars HAS to have an awesome skin) and how to put AI bots in to RA2

I was also thinking, do we have an official forum tournament?
Im not sure if its like BBEANS or that.
If not then maybe thats another idea.

like the GTM Championship? I havent been around long but i was under the impression of BBEANS being the most prestigious tournament

another idea I thought of doing was a RA2 world cup so people represent where they are from rather then just them selves

Or maybe certain members could team up to represent a country. Otherwise there'd be a lot of entries from the US, several entries from england, etc. Not that thats neccisserily a bad thing, but you may end up with entries for the same country fighting each other.

after clash cubes 2 and wild robots returns we can work together for a world championship ? :-D

imo for a robot arena 2 world championship it would have to be stock heavyweights in the combat zone (maybe just add a little world championship logo under the RA2 logo)

In a closed arena, it's most likely gonna be a HS-fest. Use an arena that makes agility a big plus.

I do like the octagon arena except for the fact when a robot ends up in the upper area the other AI usually falls down a pit, any other arena ideas ? I just thought the combat zone as it is like the main RA2 arena....

I was thinking for the RA2 world championship i should be an original RA2 arena
