I was going to make a witty comment about Venko's ridiculous amount of smileys, but i couldn't think of anything.....
I'm quite pleased with the fact that it's DSL middleweight. I just hope entries will be open before August 20th, cause if not, I don't think I'll be able to enter.

Self-AI'd bots? As in bots that AI themselves? Or bots that are AI'd by the builders? I don't know that the former exists, but if you mean the latter, then the answer is self AIing is welcome but not required.

Meganerdbomb: DSL 2.1 has been slow, but if beta testing ends up taking THAT long, I'll just run a DSL 2.0 event.

On the RA2 forums, it was becoming either required to AI your own bots, or don't complain about the AI'ing job someone else did, in order to cut down on the hordes of "U suk u cant ai worth crap u r teh reason i lost noob" comments, so how to AI is pretty general knowledge now, and personally, I prefer it. It does it's job well.

And, I'm already starting to play with possible designs :D

I did try a real FBS, not a shell spinner, with servo drive and spinning chassis, but its crap. Do you guys think it could be decent if really good built ?

Looking forward to this, since it will be my first BBEANS contest to enter. I'm not sure how good my bot will be since I haven't played in awhile and don't have much experience with DSL. Glad to see the new forum layout though. :)

Clickbeetle made a good one in Stock. Look up Thunder Cloud in the Bot Exchange.

Custom smart zones are allowed as long as they're not used for any non-smartzone purpose (like the smart zone ballasts in FB's part pack).

me too. i have NOT entered in ANY BBEANS.

i stolen it in novemver '07, while it was not avaiable in downloads section. i just looked /files folder in the site(PATCHED NOW) and downloaded it. i old it via PM to FireBeetle(CBs PM box was full) and then it got patched.
