I'd rather lose in the first round and win a best looking bot award :gawe:
Same here. Though there's no harm in going for both. =P
^Now that's the spirit.^
Shame on you for using hinge wedges yourself though, mate  =P

My LW and HW both took around an hour each. I was kinda rushing out the door to help my mum with the shopping, since she had a bad cold at that time.

On another note, how does my MW look compared to Mike's? I'm really not expecting to get through.
I think it'll be reasonably close. Mike might just edge it, though. You've got the Mechavore disc, which is pretty good (360, anyone?), and you might be able to get his teeth off, but it does have Normals, and his weapons don't, so I reckon he's going to be able to cause more damage overall. You'll definitely be giving it a good try, though.

Damn you, 360 only manages fourth.

It's wierd how we always go at each other's throats before the tournament starts, and yet we have never once fought each other outside of the Home Nations tournament. This might be a good chance for us to, in the HW bracket. =)

I saw yours in BB3 and I was hugely inspired to make Green Tree Frog, thanks mate.

Some may say it's a ripoff 8D

Finally, something in which I outperform you   :laughing

But yes, I have noticed that- usually as a result of me dominating the second-round melees, and then getting cherry-tapped from behind by some lucky pretender who doesn't deserve it right at the end of the fight. Call me bitter, but that's what usually happens in Replica Wars, at least.
Although at some point maybe another Home Nations series might be good (Even better now that we have a Northern Irish competitor, too)- I think it's a good idea. And then there's here, too- that should be a great opportunity for a quick scrap.

In fact, they do very much remind me of our Home Nations entries- right down to me having a 6WD Rammer and you having a new version of the Highlander    :approve:

Just to jump into this great conversation, but GF.

After my challenge is finished, how about I say my Tree Frog goes against your WarBastard? That would be fun :gawe:

I'm sorry, but I dominated that match more than you did. And oh, I WON.

Sportsmanship fail. :gawe:

What happened to IRL tournaments being fun? We can only speculate until the MW videos are up.

Fixed the quotes for you   :approve:

From watching the match again, I took on everyone- played a key role in helping you immobilise Gemini, tossed you all over (with you mainly getting hits in from landing on me after being flipped), and this is key, getting Badnik out of the arena.
And even still, that's not good Sportsmanship from you there, either

I though S_M was quite mild-mannered, as well :/

I'm sick and tired of you claiming that I "got lucky" in that match. You keep bringing it up and seem to get sympathy from everyone for it. In reality your bot got 1 OOTA, mine got 2 KO's. You were already heavily damaged from my earlier attacks by the time it became 1v1. Sincere apologies to freeziez for filling this thread up but I feel this needs to be put to rest.

I think he might be getting a bit peeved with GF93 going on about it quite a while after the event. (Ninja'd) I think it'd probably be best if we dropped the issue now, there's very little we can actually do about it at this stage. Besides, it's freeziez' tourney, we should be discussing stuff about that. =D

Personally I'm just getting a bit annoyed at all these 'undeserved losses' claims for like every tournament. It's a loss. Drop it.

ANYWAY. I'm looking forward to more matches, after Freez has filtered through this... lovely discussion.

I think it should be in place of FOTEPX. When Ounce bumped my entry out, FOTEPX surrendered his HW position so I could enter it as a HW instead of putting it in the SHW bracket.

I'm sorry, but I'm just ready to nut someone in the head over this whole IRL thing.

Simple fact: IF IT'S POSSIBLE IRL, IT'S IRL. Metal Hinges are IRL. If they weren't, explain doors.

Sheck Spinners with 20+ weapons with each one weighing drastically different weights are not.

That's the main reason I hate Urjak's entry.

And all this BS about sportsmanship is really getting under my skin. It's a championship. Survival of the fittest and all. Yeah, you can be all nice and stuff, but if your robot isn't up to snuff, I'm sorry, you're out. And if 'Bending The Rules' is what needs to be done to win, then so be it. That's why I TRIED to get my HW out the HW bracket, because I know it'll lose in the first round. Just you watch.

Simple fact: Metal Hinges = IRL. DSL Sheck Spinners =/= IRL.
