and the finals will be in the blade arena (from dsl)
(all hazards on)
Hmmm... define "cheaty ai" :trollface
healing yourself, OHKO'ing the opponent via ai, using force via ai, ETC.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

So hiding under the blade is allowed?

It would be considerably harder to do in stock than in DSL though... I'd need Redbird or RAD drive with mini wheels and only pink batteries; anything else would be too tall.  Plus I'd need to somehow get through the first 3 rounds with no blade to hide under... don't think I'll attempt it.  Maybe if it was LW.

pretty much
but only the finals are in the blade arena so making your bot 2.34 x 10-45743234635 millimeters high would be pointless for the first 3 rounds

I'm pretty sure Click can make a special AI that detects the arena, and changes the AI behavior.

Or even if it doesn't change, staying on the center of most arenas is a safe tactic for most HS as well.

Urgh, I can't stand when people do that. I know there's nothing against it in the rules, but it's basically cheating someone else out of a spot.

bots will get one havok restart (the match with the havok will not be put up) and by havoks, i mean major havoks, as in bots flying across the arena/getting stuck in walls... etc.

Wait, so you could easily screw someone out if you so desired?

i'll try to be fair in judging what "major" is, i won't take someone out if they fly a whole millimeter into the air

I know that HS have the advantage here, but I don't want to enter a generic 36HS... so I compromised and entered an HS hybrid.  Probably won't win if I'm against a bunch of 36HS's, but it'll be fun to watch.

One of these days you really need to just go for broke and enter the absolute best robot you can. I know you're a big fan of making things interesting, which believe me I am too, but I know you have the talent to beat everybody else on this forum and it frustrates me to know that you aren't that much. You deserve it.

I actually enjoy it when Click enters some of the more interesting bots in the tournaments. It does make things more interesting than some generic popup or 36HS, as he said, which would probably make the matches more repetitive and boring, plus he's already held in extremely high regard among the community, he's got nothing to prove in tournaments. Besides, he's already won Bot Of The Month around 9 times, I think, which calls for much more of the interesting and unique robots than a regular AI tournament does. We shouldn't really be telling people what level of building they should be entering in tournaments, especially not Click. We all know he's one of the best builders on the boards, he shouldn't need to win tournaments to prove it. =)

Besides, Click is an original and candy builder, at the expense of combat worth. It's no surprise everyone goes "OMG SO AWESOME" when Click enters a cool bot... then it fails, predictably, because it wasn't focused on winning.

Though aesthetics and cleverness is a part of good battles as well.
