ok time to recruit some help.

here's what i need:

-someone who can make up the robot splash pics (i'll tell you what i'm looking for).
-someone who can ai the robots well.

i can record, edit and upload. when all that is sorted i will open registration. i always seem to get a tourney going around the same time as BBEANS >.< click inspires me i guess :P

Ok, Ian. I'll try making this arena. Yea, help would be nice for a gauntlet style 'Challenge'(?) arena. Skinners, gmf editors, python tweakers, Skinners, and/or testers...; even help with a cool name for it. This arena shouldn't be too hard.

i may also need help with some of the "house robots".. I'm not really satisfied with the box and i might need 1 more decent BW, so if you have any robot for the house robot team send a splash pic and i will pick the best one for the tourney.

here's the robots you can make:

- a BW for 2 on 1 challenge.
- a "Box" with a fair bit of defense to challenge the offense of all robots equally (spinners, popups, hammers and so on.)
- a powerful MW Rammer with a wedge for the tilt challenge (must have no weapons).
- a HW that will test all the robots defense but will not just one hit ko them (i think my HW in the vid shows exactly what i'm looking for.)

The HW should be a pure HS (if that's what we're calling them now).

I can make the MW rammer for the tilt challenge.

I can also make the defense box if you need me to.

pure HS will kill some bots faster then others O.o i like my hybrid right now.

when you build them just pm me a splash. i just tested out my own team of house bots and it turned out fine except my rammer is a bit OP but that makes it more fun to watch as the entries get owned!

i held my own mini-tourney (3 robots testing out the 4 challenges) to test out how i'm gonna work the splashes and when i will show the leader board and so on.

Note: i may not use your robot, but i'm open for change if i think it's good for the tourney. should also note if the feedback is good we might get some new challenges in for next time, i think tourneys are too limited in variety these days so it's time to mix things up!

great thing is even if you don't win overall you have 4 chances to become the champion of the individual challenges which you can brag about in your signature :P

results of my mini-tourney show that it has the potential to be close...all LW's.

Razorwire is an old, pretty average popup
lights out v.3 is a decent face spinner
Tornado 2 is a decent HS

2 on 1:
Razorwire- loss 1:11 left - 1pt
Lights out v.3- win 1:04 left - 2pts
Tornado 2- loss 1:24 left - 0pts

Beat the Box:
Razorwire- no kill, 2146 points - 1pt
Lights out v.3- no kill, 1526 points - 0pts
Tornado 2- kill 0:22 - 2pts

Tilt:
Razorwire- 0:55 left - 0pts
Lights out v.3- 0:54 left - 1pt
Tornado 2- 0:51 left - 2pts

Survival:
Razorwire- 1:41 left - 1pt
Lights out v.3- 1:15 left - 2pts
Tornado 2- 1:47 left - 0pts

Results:
winner: Lights out v.3- 5pts
Runner up: Tornado 2- 4pts
Last: Razorwire- 3pts

looks like people will be ai'ing their own robot.

btw sage the arena's i will be using for the challenges are as follows:
-2 on 1: small arena (used in BBEANS 3).
-Beat the box: small arena.
-Tilt: flex top arena.
-Survival: Combat arena. (should have a dark/scary look)

feel free to reskin those, except.. click made the small arena so i dunno if you can reskin it, probably have to ask.

some good and bad news to update people.

good news is Dozer (the robot on the tilt challenge) is beatable!

bad news is i still haven't heard from anyone who wants to help which means.. 1: no cool arena skins.. 2: no real good AI.. 3: no cool robot splashes.

pm me if you are serious about helping, the little things make a good tournament.

i'm going to stick with my team of "house robots" and they are ai'd already. in a couple of days i'm going to start registration.

yes that's them and they can beat stuff up :) the same bots in the vid will be used for the tourney so study them.

lightweight stock robots will be used. also note i have all the rules and scoring info written up and ready to post when i think the tourney is ready to open registration.

S32 please pm me a pic and info. i've used cool splashes in most my tourneys and the overall look was much better with them, plus it provides good info on the robots.

EDIT: i'm thinking about changing one of the BW's to my BW VS named the button.. you can find a video or 2 of it on my youtube channel, i will decide soon which one i will use.
