I'd like to see what you have to offer in terms of bot building.

Okay, it's a good starting point. It would help if we had a shot of the insides, and knew what the armour was. It also helps if you crop the pictures so it's just the bot (everyone knows what the Bot Lab looks like), and saved it as preferably a .PNG file, as the bitmap format the gave saves screenshots as takes a lot of memory.

Also, some criticism can be harsher than others, you need to be able to distinguish between harsh criticism and trolling/flaming. And trolling/flaming back is a VERY bad idea. Especially if you're new. People's first impressions of you stick with you for as long as you're here, and if you've given a bad first impression, people are less likely to take you seriously in the future.

Is there a view inside?

By the way, what Jonzy there means is that utilising Stock parts in DSL (IE. The bits that came with the original game) is generally frowned upon, unless it's certain wheels or weapons. I do see some potential, though.

Quick tips from me. People will fill holes.

It needs to be around 800kg to use weight to it's advantage
To put images up, you can upload them to the uploader on the front page then just post the link in img tags.
Try to crop images - we've all seen the botlab.
We could do with seeing insides to know where the weight is going, and what components you're using.
Use DSA (Double Strength Aluminium) if you aren't already - it's very strong. You get it by not clicking the armor tab at all after making a chassis.
It looks quite tall, and those aren't great wheels - try lowering it to around 5 pixels from minimum and putting some shiny hub wheels (the best) on High Power Z-teks.
Finally, DO NOT report posts unless it's a REALLY SERIOUS matter (not flaming).. ACAMS gets tetchy :3

Okay I got beat to a lot of these, sorry XD

Post insides, and avoid thumbnails.

I've seen much worse for a newbie, but it is nothing like amazing.

Also, build to weight limit, don't use stock parts in a DSL game, and don't start a showcase with drama bait such as this :

[...] don't troll me, don't flame me [...]
(btw: i troll/flame back, and/or report)

the reason for the slims was to make the bot invertable, and eliminate the need for a SRIMEC
and this was made before i obtained dsl and was thereby grandfathered into the game.

where to begin... you will likely need a way to pin your opponent to a wall, snowplows are recommended, see rabid pit bull (search for it on the wiki or take a look at it in starcore ai v3 or later) you will also need wedges if you dont want to get your ass handed to you by pop-ups
edit: also too much batteries... you only need 1 black battery for this

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

You can also make the chassis slimmer and use lighter wheels, you know ? You only need a chassis the height of a Z-tek (well slightly more) for this.

Yes but... there is no need for higher level advice at this point, he needs to learn the bases of good building first.

EDIT : you're using good batteries and good motors, now make the chassis less tall and well fitting around the components. Of course you need to eyeball it before you add the components to minimize empty space, but that's a necessary part of building.

It's a Stock Showcase, guys. It's just the DSL Bot Lab for whatever reason.

And it would still be invertible with Shiny Hubs, which are considerably lighter than the Slim Wheels. That'll give you the weight to add either some more weapons/spinners, or some extra defenses, or wedges and so forth.

No no no. Not on a FS like that. Shinies are smaller than discs, and the discs will therefore touch the ground, reducing the weapon's power.

Use slipperbottoms.

Ah, I see. Chassis needs to be lowered, then. If you look at the slider you select the height with, and set it to five "clicks" high, that'll allow you to fit an HP Z-Tek into the chassis. Any lower, and it won't fit.

Make it the minimum possible height.
