I think that by the time that anyone gets to the motors, its weapons will be long gone.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Yeah, the spinup time was not too fast whit the flail system, but still fast enough to do the job, but it was also too unstable to be effective enough.

The motors are not actually as exposed as they look. The skirts make the bots front be alittle bit higher than directly horizontal. I have lost only once a motor and that was when bear pinned me to the wall...

And yes, the skirts act as small top protection too.

Yes! I finally won a competion :D

I just knew that spending 2 hours on the splash would pay up :D

The fact behind this bot is that I made it like 4-6 moths ago and that the only custom parts are the spikes, controlboard, battery and airtank.

I also saw someone request a download. Here it is. Just extract to your RA2 DSL main fodler. It also includes the neutron stars.

That bot is awsome! Do you have any problems with it flipping over? It's cool how it can "fly."
Edit: that test arena looks strange...is it a mod?

The flipping over is actually the hardest thing to do with it. Because you need to be perfectly alinged and have the right amount of speed to make it happend and on top of that, the opponent need to be in the right direction too. In that battle pic, I actually mised Matilda 10 times and the match took about 1min.
Altough the separate controls for left and riht pistons help steering in air, its still not enough.

Yes, the garage is Mad's modified version, it has 2 levels and some other cool things like a crazy computer(Why crazy? Because it zaps and shoots you if damage it) and hidden rooms.

I cant find it anymore either. I suppose it was on the old forums in Mads mods and tweaks, but its not on this site. Ask Mad to send it to you.

I was going to make this an entry to BOTM, but it is not going to work as an entry, because I needed AAM for it in a few places:
Controlboard, I wasnt able to get it on because it slightly touches the batteries even if it looks like its above them.
Snowplow, had to change it into something smaller in order to place weapons.
The extenders that conncect to the motors, I had to change them in order to place the weapon extenders.

Name: PloW OuT
Power: 2 Pinks
Drive: 2 RADs
Weapons: 4 Iron Spikes
Armor: DSA, Snowplow

And Anotherone I made yesterday, its a just for fun try of my AAM skills.

Name: AAM Rammer
Power: 2 Blacks
Weapon: 30 Iron Spikes
Drive: 4 HP Z-Tec, 2 Z-Tec(I had the weight for them, but not HPs so i put them on)
Armor: DSA, 2 Snowplows

It is AAM, actually I think botfile editing is more like it because, I switched beetween game and windows alot, to change the parts to something else and back in the bot file.
On the BW I changed the parts into neutronstars, allowing me to place extenders and other parts where I wouldnt have been able to, due to collision with the other parts.
On the HW, I cahnged the lenghts of the extenders, giving me enough space to place spikes all the way to the 7 part limit.

Also, incase anyone wonders, the BW weigths 173.something, dont remember now.

Just an FYI, I now know how to take another part that is already on the bot and place it on another part and choose wich connection point to use.
Side note: While playing around with this, I accidently managed to place a HP Z-Tec facing wrong way, while still having the wheel connected to its rear! And on top of that, it worked like everything was ok. Like this:

I like how you stacked the irons on your HW.

Well that neutron star use was random.

And inverted HPZ = win, as well.

Has bot building changed? is everyone going into cheating or is this just for fun?
