Can we stop comparing this guy to venko...

venko spent decades in the bot lab, stacking all his components. This guy just copy and pastes lines of BFE code.

why are you guys hating so much on shed?  let him do his things.
also i rather have him around than venko
no hate on shed at all, i just think it's funny how much people are fawning over BFE bots. Yea they are ridiculous looking, but the game is more than just coding. IMO his newest HW bot are way more interesting.

You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Copy and paste?  Perhaps you should demonstrate some of your own considering it is just copy and pastes.  From what you mentioned it seems that even you can do it.

But it is copy/paste, plus adjusting 1st and 4th line of each component when applicable, and change the total count up on top.

Very good.
It's not good, it's just the same component that has been spammed by copy and pasting lines from the file. It can't do anything and it doesn't even look good, and to be frank anybody can do it if they know how to change two numbers.

How long did it take you?  If it took more than 5 seconds, then you are inefficient.

*Snuggle.*

We have already seen the other great stuff you do in Stock, like the Forkie with all the maces, and the asymmetrical things that look vicious and we want you to keep doing those things.

you get along just fine! your normal stock bots are awesome and unique. I think it's really cool that you are having fun with BFE. I just don't like it when you discredit venko's work when he did such insane stuff in the bot lab.

With regards to BFE-ing things...
Wouldn't it all, like, ya' know, just collapse in on itself upon entering any sort of arena? If so; Just make a giant block of mace balls, and then let them scatter all over everything as a form of bizarro caltrops.

It depends on what you are attaching to.

This is a cool idea and you should do it.  I've done it with a couple razors before, so I know it works in principle.

However, do not forget that all of the components not attached to the base of the robot, unless attached to another component, will be placed at the center of the robot at the start.

Oh right.  ...So more like a bizarro landmine then.  If only there were some way to get them to scatter.  Maybe if you attached weapons on long vertical extenders, so they all fell over in different directions at the start of the match.

Edit:  OR, you could make a whole bunch of tiny 1-square chassises (chassi? I don't know), scatter those around, and attach weapons to the baseplate.  Chassis still get centered, but you can offset the actual coordinate points to scatter them.
