*Is also impressed, but a little less so*

20 razors is quite heavy for snappers. I would either try to convert to DDT's or add an extra black battery for additional power. Of course, both of these require a rebuilt chassis, unless you can stack three blacks together. Good job though.

No there's 4 for weapons you are right, I think R0B0 just missed that.

Eh. Could really get rid of ramplates with caster armor such as this. Maybe rebuild the chassis and put the casters closer to each other.

It's original however.

I never mentioned the number of snappers. Regardless, my advice still applies.

I always thought that the max you should put on a snapper was 6 and any more and it was too heavy, or am i wrong again?

Ash, it really all depends what you are going for. IMHO, no more than 5-6 on a green snapper.

Scorpion: It really is as good as I say it is the way it is. As far as a true popup goes in the HW class....how much better can you do?

Dunno, the casters are focused at the points most likely to be trashed by HS, and the ramplates will get hit less, so it's debatable on whether he wants a fuller defense or more weight for other things.

Looks pretty nice Scorp, I like how you've covered the wedges with the placement of the casters. Nice Axle loaded drive too.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I gave it a go at giving it DDTs, and came up with this:

2 stacked black, and a nifty ofcourse, still DSA and still 20 razorz.
So, is this an improvement?

4WD is probably better than DDTs, but I haven't done any testing with it.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

I would have stuck with the 4WD myself, personally. Are you able to get any more casters on the front edges a bit further up?

Yes, but weight is the problem there, I personally don't think it's worth the switch to shinies.

I wouldn't switch to Shinies, especially if the wedges are good as they are.

Fair enough then, I think the wedges on this version may be slightly better (just from the ease it slips under other bots), but i'll need to test them against each other.

Hmmmm, well here's a hammer/side hammer hybrid:

Bit of a fail as is though sadly, I might try downgrading to 2WD and try to use the weight saved from that to improve it, if that's seen as a good idea?

Don't downgrade the drive...Use one DDT's for the top hammer. Use razors for the top and irons/maces for the side ones? That would also allow you to put more casters on?

4 DDTs on this bot just seems like too many to me.

Good use of caster armour.

Actually it could be better, cause it's not protecting the top.

I would find a way to get something to protect your bottom, and the weakest weapons should go where the opponent is less likely to have less weapons/armor, aka on the top. Unless you are against a VS, in which case you are probably screwed.

Side hammers need to be much stronger than horizontal hammers.

Agree with nary actually. should have put that as advice. the hammers on the side will have not nearly the effect as it would with them horizontal.
