Following advise, I decided to start a showcase.

Note: I've been lurking the forums and building since about the start of BBEANS5, but never registered.

Introducing my Doomed bots entry Bermuda Peril!

DSA, 2 Blacks, 4 razors and everything else is on show.

Opinions? Thoughts?

YAY a new member! WOOHOO!

As for the bot, very well built. Bring the razors farther back and reverse the DDTs so that the razors are wider (turn each DDT 180 degrees).

Get rid of the smartzone and download the Madiaba smartzones from the download page.

You could completely rebuild it like this:

Spin the black battery 90 degrees and stack the other one inside of it. Bring in the hpzteks because the one black is skinnier than the two. (This means also make a new chassis). Axle glitch or snapper load the two snapper2s so you can fit the DDTs inside the skinnier chassis.

I know it's a little hard to follow, but if you can do it I will be very impressed.

Wow, MUCH better than most newbies first bots. Its has great drive, correct weapons, the right weapon motors, you even built to the weight limit. Impressed.

Your popup is already better than my MW popup. The only thing is I have stacked blacks.

After reading sage's advice (and lerning what what he ment by snaper loading) and then fiddling with the bot for ages, heres the revised verson

It's basicly the same as the last one, only more compact and with rubbers.

Is there anything else I can do to this? All I can think of is to move the DDT's back slightly.

Do I get "the best newbe EV0R" award now?:grin:

Mhm, move the ddts back and turn the razors around so the flat side is hitting the other bot, then it will be perfect. nice work.

oh, forgot to say you still have to rotate the start position on the ddts back. its way too far forward.

Hide the Razors inside the chassis.

EDIT: I just noticed how the control board is behind the batteries. You still have some chassis space that could shed off a couple of kilos.

NOOO RUBBERRZZZZ. I'd say use some hubs, then you got some extra weight to use.

But, for someone new, those bots are outstandingly good.

Rubbers are good for anything with a wedge.

Anyways about the bot, it's really nice (i could say it's very good for a newcomer, but you lurked a few months).

I had something very similar - Imperial Faction with rubbers ftw.

When i said you have no idea what you were talking about, I mean the advice. Any newb can come and see a good bot and be like "omg that bot is pwnzers but why don't you use square extenders thay has more health."

I know about the extenders. I like to think I'm pretty knowledged on most of that stuff - I just don't know about the rubbers on popups cos I don't build popups.

Try to make the chassis more shallow, as it's too steep.

HW VS (obviously)

DSA, Chained HPZ weapon, 8 irons, 2 blacks + a niftty:ermm:

Beat RPB on it's first try (in the BBEANS arena v2 and human driven though)
