I have a blue snapper mounted sideways with the main attachment point pointing towards the battery. Then I mounted a 20 cm extender and attached the motor to the extender.

Well, I'm off for another week, but this time I'm going to have my laptop (without RA2) with me. So, before I leave I built a new bot.

I wasn't expecting much from it, but it's beaten SCv4's Death Trap, Death Warrant, and Fury on the first try (the matches weren't even close). The iron spike does limit it's effectiveness when inverted, but it really helps with trapping and grinding bots when right side up. DSA.

MINE IS STILL MORE RAD.

He had one earlier with Regular Z-tek drive which imo is fail on this design.

A little bump to get my showcase off of page 3...

Some stuff that I've been toying with:

After I lost to FB in BBEANS, I tried to combine R4's destruction with S13's wedges, and this is what I got:

DSA, 20 razors, 2 black batteries, etc. I haven't really tested it, but DDT wedges should be an upgrade.

My DDT-wedged flipper/popup for RAW 2, Bullet Witch:

The idea here was to have a robot capable of beating other wedges, and able to toss spinners OOTA. DSA, 2 blacks, 6 razors.

I wanted to make a Tempus Fugit with DSA, but I haven't had much sucess yet, but here's what turned out of one of my attempts:

If the claws didn't have normals, it would rock. DSA and the rest you can see.

A generic RAD spinner. Nothing special at all, except for the overlapping motors on the front, which is the only reason why it's really worth showcasing.

And finally, the LW VS I made for BOTB, The Grudge. It's actually really good against LW dual HS. It only struggles against HS with HPZ weapons. DSA and the like.

Hopefully I can come up with some more creative stuff soon.

Another battery could probably be added if the chassis is made thinner. And the RAD spinner is kinda cool, I never overlapped static RADs before. XD

The popup dosen't need more than two batteries when the matches never last more than 10 seconds :D

You forgot the servo pistons.

And didn't R4 already have DDT wedges? I thought it did... maybe it was Snapper 2's.

Well great bots anyways. Bullet Witch looks dangerous; could even give Error (my popup-killing HS) trouble.

And 2 blacks is actually enough to power 4WD and 4 DDT's, if just barely. As long as you don't fire the wedges and weapons at the same time, you're good.

I was reminiscing about the old forums today, so I decided to re-build my two best HW's from back then other than R4.

First was Metal Simulacra (original can be seen ). I haven't tested it yet, but I really like the way it looks. DSA, 2 blacks, and the like.

Next, Karnivore. A Redbird spinner back in the day, I used RAD's on this one for weight and space purposes. DSA, 8 RADs and 2 blacks.

The stock showcase section is really slow these days...

that type of wedge connection on the HS looks a bit of a weak point with weapons only spinning on RADs

I love Metal Simulacra. It seems like some people still use the tribar's original attachment point. :D

As for Karnivore, I agree with JB on the wedge issue.

Yay! My blue extenders!

Anyways, the HS looks a lot like some bot in Inf's Ai pack (ReaXion?)
The VS will wobble. Maces don't work on tribar VS. (Unless yours is somehow different.)

I like the use of DDT wedges for both. Did the idea come from inf's Lightkeeper?

And yes, the stock showcase IS really slow. I'll try and build something tonight.
