You can rework the drive attachment, if it's on a Snapper. Actually, I have no idea what the drive is attached to. But wedges and extra drive could both be added with a good SnapperII setup on the same chassis, I'm guessing.

Under the CO2 tank there is a piston, which has a t connector on it, which has 2 extenders on it, with an extender on each of those extenders, with the z-teks on those.

That's far too overcomplicated, you could definitely cut it down. Piston to T connector to Extender to parallel Extender should give you a good 4WD with not too much difference in look from a 2WD configuration.

Better yet, don't use a piston at all. Use a Snapper II so you can attach your middle piston to it as well.

He means put the drive directly on one attach point of the Snapper, and put the piston on the other attach point. Rather than having your drive on the piston.

Add more weapons :P
If you have the rule of 7 then change the first 2 extender into one as i dont think they will get hit too much.
Put a blade on the wedge aswell.
