You could put the drive in a row and the blacks behind them and have the chassis airtight.

Like this?

Alright. It's going to be very hard to make it drive straight though, but I'll try my best.

EDIT: Little update: With some extenders stacked in some HP-Zteks I, got the chassis down to 68.0kg!

Rotate all the razors so an edge points out. This way it will gut rip much better. Looks boss though. I don't know if I like the middle ones being farther inward than the outer ones... any different setup?

No real setup other setup, posting image soon, it's MONSTER. What way must the razors be, like this?
Code: [Select]
    \/
    |
----------- < disc edge

Or like this?

Code: [Select]
     |
    /\
----------- < disc edge

Alright here we go, first official splash!

Lacerate
796.0kg (4 kilo underweight, see below)
DSA
2 blacks
4WD HP-Ztek
Shinies
4 Snowplows
120cm green snapper wedges
16 Razors

I still have 4 kilos EXACTLY (yes I tried) left, so I can put one extender somewhere on both sides. Where should I put it? Longer wedges? Wider side plows? Higher trapping plows?

I'd say longer wedges, but then again, you could just use the 140cm square extenders for the wedges, so IDK.

Longer wedges- makes it easier to trap your opponents.

Move the high plows backwards- as they are now they are inhibiting the ability of the side motors to really do much damage. And yes longer wedge on both sides. Just add a 20 cm, don't actually switch out the whole wedge.

Love that setup for the most part, however I'm not so sure how effective those outermost spinners will be. The plows don't quite look like they allow enough room for opposing bots to slide on top, and the discs don't look like they reach out far enough to really grind an opponents undersides.

I would try moving the top plows farther back towards the chassis, and giving the outermost spinners a longer reach (maybe spend your last 4 kg doing this).

segment the wedges on the extenders and if you cant find anything more useful put extenders on the wedges the same way you would put blades.

Would it allow you to get rid of the y-connector and put them both on the extender?

Does look very nice though, try longer wedges or sacrificial extenders
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

@Scrap Daddy: Sure I'll segment the wedges.

I was thinking of spending that last 4 kgs on the plows. Either by moving the sideplows more to side giving more grinding space, or by moving the top plows higher.

If your outer spinners are having a hard time contributing to combat, you could downgrade the inner motors to Z-Teks and spend the weight on other stuff.

If anything, your bot looks great, and everyone's advice here is sound.
If you need weight though, make the right angle between the blacks and the wheels at the back a straight line. It removes some weight (As chassis weight is a measurement of surface area and not volume) but leaves a bigger target.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

Ok, slightly different setup and now with Samurai swords. Do their job better than the snowplows, because they have the same HP, they deal damage (if relevant) and are much harder to hit (smaller target). 4.0kg underweight, 140cm wedges, 2 blacks.

Once again, what should I put my weight on now? I hardly think that longer wedges will help now (160 cm wedges anyone?), and the snowplows are wide enough. Dummy extenders?
