Nate Tech's Showcase
« on: October 04, 2011, 08:17:23 AM »
This is my Stock Showcase. Feel free to give suggestions and/or criticize.

Here is my classic bot: Techno FS

It has DSA armor and is invertible

Now here is my Triple Face Spinner:

It also has DSA and is invertible

Here's my favorite: Spinney-do

It, of course. has DSA and is not invertible, but it won't get flipped. Sorry it has so much empty space.

Here's my attempt at a Stock Juggler:

That's all for now, hope you like my bots!

Chassis space management is good, but you don't need that many batteries, and they need to be built to the weight limit.  Also, try to use shiny hub wheels as much as possible, and focus on just one weapon system at a time.

Ok, thanks for the advice. The reason that I used slim wheels was that the shiny hubs wouldn't go on without the razors hitting the ground and damaging themselves and eventually falling off. I also ran out of room on the Face Spinners so I had to keep them at that weight.

Hey there, new guy.

Try to save weight on your designs. Go and check the wiki for tutorials.

hey nate and sparky

Tri-fs could actually be rather good if you get rid of the back weapons, all those batteries and the wheels and replace them with shiny hubs and a black battery or something around there (lol i cant remember power management in stock)
Oh and shrink the chassis

Check the wiki and build to the weightlimit as has already been said

Ok, here's why I don't use shiny hub wheels: THEY'RE NOT BIG ENOUGH. When I use shiny hubs then I can't make it invertible or the weapons hit against the ground and fall off. Also, when I shrink the chassis, then I run out of room and can't build to the weight limit.

There will always be a sweet spot, man. Somewhere at 5 notches upward. I would say it should still be invertible at 7 notches, although at that point it would only skid around somewhat uncontrollably.

I'm sorry, could someone tell me exactly how to make the bot invertible using HP Z-Teks and Shiny Hubs without the spinner weapons damaging themselves?

I've got a feeling this is Sparkey.
If it isn't, then I like your second bot, but you could increased it to 4 disc and remove the piston. Also, use Supervolts and only use pinks if you are desperate. Some protection wouldn't hurt either.

3 fs is fine.

You can make it invertible with shinies, even rubber wheels.
Just make the height slider all the way to teh bottom and go up by 5ish notches up

Get rid of all the pink batteries and shrink the chassis that little bit more, put the motors on baseplate anchors and razors to get it down to mw if you have to.

Sparkey is a huge n00b and is really annoying. He trolls often and can't build good bots. He's currently banned at the moment.

What armour are you using? DSA?
Have you read the Beetlebro guide?
And Sparkey's a troll who makes multiaccounts. I'm just curious, because there is a member he is friends with here (Natef) and your names sound similar and he could be framing him.

Yes, I use DSA. I can't make a mw triple face spinner, it always goes to hw when I put the supervolt in
I managed to do it using normal z-teks! Here it is:

Even though it has normal z-teks, it is equally unstoppable

Make the chassis 1/2 the size, one supervolt, DSA, control board, take out a Disc and you should be able to make it MW with HPZ. They spin up to twice as fast , which equals twice as damage potential.

Well then it wouldn't be a triple face spinner if i took out a disc. I think i'll keep it this way for now.
