I agree with this. Resetting it really doesn't accomplish much, it'll just get trashed all over again. If we want to get rid of it, we might as well do it properly.

What I dislike most is people who deserve the rep now have less than those who abuse the system. Hence my rep-rounds.

Ah well, maybe We'll be mature and use it properly.

I'm not rating anyone up or down unless they actually do something positive for the forum.

Thats true; I don't abuse the system, but due to my friends I'll probably have 8 or 9 before Sage and other great roboteers.

This is one of the problems we had before, wasn't it? The main builders/contributors group didn't really care, so they didn't rep each other as much as the group that hung around in the Junk Yard and actually gave a crap. Guys like FOTEPX, Jonzu and GF93. Who were, ironically, both the three most repped UP members, and the three most repped DOWN members. In order.

I'm still searching for the thread in which ACAMS states how hard this would be.

To remove a system?

He doesn't even need to remove it, he just needs to hide it or deny everyone access to the Rep Box.

I'm siding with NFX on this one.

And Hydro, the reason you repped me up is exactly what I was talking about; I didn't deserve a Rep +, So why did I get one?

To hide it, he still has to change loads of stuff.

Now, if only I could find that thread >.<

I agree. I don't like the rep system in the slightest, it's just a platform for drama queens/kings/Jonzus. It should be for deserving it.

Yup, every 5 days I'm just going to rep up any Roboteers that I remember, hopefully keeping the System somewhat in tact.

This might sound like a bit of hyperbole, but I think the Rep system is simply a less structured Respect rating. And I reckon as long as every member can give or remove rep, then there's going to be the same problem with the Junkyard Drama Queens.

I would say give access to AU and higher, but I think I'm fairly fair with it and kind of want to keep rep privileges >.<

I'd say you were quite fair with it. We're kinda creating a dilemma here, about whether we should have it for everyone, and have the drama queens continue to uprate everyone for the sake of it, or have exclusive rights to rep changing for higher groups, which would probably make it fairer (assuming MNB doesn't go nuts with the brony stuff), but then the fairer regular members would lose out on it, which I think would be a shame.
