I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone for the "attention whoring" and how I have been acting for the past year.

Looking back at my early posts, I used to be so enthusiastic about RA2, but somehow that enthusiasm faded as time went on. I think the reasons behind this could be that I could never seem to build anything competitive, and I just ran out of my own ideas.

The truth is that I have secretly been working in RA2 on a few bots the past few days. I have even been tinkering with the Hurricane UI mod again (although I doubt that it will ever be released at this point as most will see a UI mod as useless).

The point is that I am trying to get back into the main forum. I hope that I haven't burned any bridges that cannot be rebuilt.

To sum up, the leniency we have is a good thing for reasons I already explained. If you want us to become more strict, we can do that as well. I really think there needs to be a crack down. With all this trolling   and attention seeking there needs to be a huge crack down. I'm   personally getting tired of seeing crap in almost every thread I go to.   Really when some one (or than one) start picking on another user. Yes   this or that don't help the community (eg other forms that others made   other games) but that happens. Its the way I see others posting in them   and treating the thread makers like crap! The amount of trolling and   bashing is out of control. So yes I want there to be rules and then   followed.

Either you people start fixing the problem or we will. I really highly doubt some would fix there act on there own here. The mods Joe, Click, Kill (The ones off the top of my head and trust) need to crack down hard for some to learn. I know there busy enough already but either the mods crack down or I really doubt people here will clear up the act.

There needs to be rules set up for Chatter box and every single section. If those rules are not followed then temp ban and so on.

Sorry but I agree with Kill here 100% this place really does need to clear it up.

Is taking one challenge request. First come first serve. I'm a bit rusty now but I'm going to try and crank something out for this. MW and up no glitches DSL or Stock.

The reason why these people end up being on the receiving end of this is because they've trolled/attention seeked or otherwise showed stupidity. It's these people (if any) that are the ones who should be on the receiving end of any punishment.

Building bots has gone from simple designs with a heavy focus on a cool paint job to seeing how many spikes can be shoved onto a bot. Oh well.

Agreed 100%. I try and build in the "old style", as I was around back in those days, only for a brief period of time, though.

Whenever I build in stock, I don't just snapper tons of tris and irons onto a chassis, as it:
A) looks ugly
B) has no real thought to it. Anyone could build one.

You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

I love those maces! If I ever get RA2 installed again (which will probably happen whenever I get around to buying a new harddrive), I should actually read some tutorials on how to edit parts like that.

I don't know if there was ever a proper tutorial posted on changing the colour of stuff in the GMF.
My above post explains everything about everything.

Host of: Wheely Tag, Back To The Beginnings, BTTB 2, BTTB 3, BTTB 4, & BTTB V.

Heavy Metal: Champion (Mockery of the Whole Concept)
Robotic International Wars Series 1: Champion (Minifridge 6)
RA2 Team Championships 1 & 2: Champion (High Speed Train & Upthrust - as part of Naryar's Not Quite Evil Council of Doom)

Runner Up in: The Amazing Rage (Team Fedex), R0B0NOVA (Zaphod Stock), Steel Warzone (Inception of Instability), Box of Nightmares (Gicquel), Wheely Tag (Minifridge the Second)

Clash Cubes IV: 5th place (Fretless)
BBEANS 6: Rumble Winner & 6th Place (Minifridge 4)

I actually gave them away as first prize to whoever won RAW 2. They were adapted from clickbeetle's silver mace on the champion sword. I think it was him or FB who actually figured out how to do it.

It's not changing the color at all, its more putting a reflective map on there (identical to the shiny hub) and then modifiying the generic_refmap2.bmp to be gold.

Because you have to download like 50+ things before you can fully edit some of the parts.

Ooh, yes. I forgot to thank you for them. :)

I could make one. I also have an awesome website that shows you the codes for different colours (credit to JoeBlo).

I did not say which ones nor was pointing at any one directly. And as for the "Noob whackers" if they don't follow rules and keep breaking them then ban.

I didn't say anything about you pointing that at any one in particular (although let's face it, it's never hard to guess if a comments being aimed at certain people here anyway).
And yes, everybody who doesn't follow the rules should face some sort of consequence (although out and out banning as you said just then is a dumb idea). But whacking n00b behaviour isn't really breaking any rules, for some people, it's just the normal way they act. And yes, while there will be other people on here who may just "whack" to try and fit in or because they're too stupid to form a personality themselves or whatever, as I said before, just because somebody is "whacking" people doesn't mean they should be punished, at any rate, the community will probably shun them if they're going around acting like that to everyone.
It was the attention whores more than anything that caused the problems.
