Lol maybe I under-act if I didn't manage to lighten up the mood with that post.

Your posts are weird because they always revolve about accusations of what "others" might do, following by you trying to deny it.  But given you come up with all those things it is only rational to infer that the "others" you accused is actually you.  The ultra seriousness to a lighthearted humor also doesn't help.

Just think about things this way.  90% of the people spend too much time thinking about what others think of them.  But the truth is nobody pays attention to other people to begin with because they are so focus on their own image.

I am simply trying to give a possible reaction that other people could have. Granted it's a bit of a wacky theory, why would anyone hate that guy. You know, things that don't necessarily come out of your feelings, but just theories made up by your mind. If I hated him I would state it, plain and simple, or would try to attack him undercover in any way. I am not doing such things.

Which means you don't actually have to convince "me" of anything since I am clearly the self absorb kind.  In fact, it's how much you try to defend yourself despite the lack of accusation that draws the attention.

I didn't want to cause trouble, nor a flamewar. And as I said in my first post, "If voting like this is not the way it goes at GTM then please consider this thread as never posted.", which seems true:

The staff will judge your work in time and will give you your title if they feel you deserve it. People don't "apply" for positions here, exceptions being when the staff asks for one (example would be Kill343).

Oh, and why even make a vote ? The staff will decide, not the plebs.

Yes I did browse through all 8 pages of his history.  I just can't find anything involving serious RA2 mechanics testing, insights in modding/gmf, or RA2 programming (written software/tinker with exe/etc).  Like I see Autohotkey related stuff, but that's not really programming.

I expect GTM Tech Advisers to know more about programming and the workings of this game than I do.

I'm sorry, I thought Tech Adviser was more general then just about RA2. I think controversy is a bit strong. It's more of a fairly heated debate.

It's great that you want to help out with the community and the game, there's not really been enough newcomers with that sort of intention. Plus it eases the burden of everyone else a little bit. But you are still something of an unknown quantity, you've only been here a couple of months, if that. Achieving custom titles normally takes quite a bit longer than that. I think I can say with confidence that you'll have Tech Advisor by the end of the year, though.

EDIT:  I take back everything I said.  Having another person to answer questions is always better than having another person that causes problems.  It's not like the title comes with anything other then workloads and annoyances.

As contrived as this is going to sound, "It's not about the title, it's what you do with it."  I'm not going to change my opinion of you just because your name is a different colour, you've well enough convinced me of your expertise already with the Movepixel tool.

Understand that I'm not knocking you down for asking for a promotion, just assuring you that I'll still respect you even if it doesn't happen - I can see that a lot of people were pushing you into going for this, perhaps making it seem like more of a big deal than it really is. 

Besides, getting promoted is entirely up to the bureaucracy, it's irrelevant that the aye's have it in your poll.

You've got a unique name, unique avatar, you've made your mark with the movepixel tool, your tech knowledge makes me look like a caveman.  I'd wager that people will not soon forget you, and in my book that's something to be proud of.
