Change in the Rep system?

or better yet, AU's and up should be the only ones who can give rep.

Good idea, actually. Maybe then I won't have these spiteful little parasites downrating me for no reason, simply because they think I'll react.

But you also wouldn't get people like me and Hydro uprating you every five days either

Also something to take into consideration. Either that, or a system that notifies people about rep, who did it, and why.
 
So for instance, let's say I discovered RA2's source code whilst working on a Flipper from the North. I share it, my rating goes up. This happens in the bottom corner of the screen-

For- Discovering Source Code and being all-round cool guy"

I thought about installing a mod where each post can be rated.....but I am dealing with a forum full of idiots and the rating will take up more room than the post!

Hence, why I figured that It'd be a bit more practical to have a little window pop up in the corner of the screen when on GTM when rep is altered. Inspired by Windows XP nagware, but a lot more practical and less annoying, methinks.

However, I do think that It'll be slightly more practical, encouraging people to put more thought into their rep giving/taking, rather than simply doing it out of admiration or spite.

People would also know who was doing it and why, hence they could actually learn from their mistakes, instead of inquistioning about it, and therefore getting downrated even more. The current system is pretty much just a vicious circle really, and I want to change that.

Come to think of it, that's a good idea, too. Then you could ask 'em why afterwards, and learn from them the justification behind it.
