chaos 2 may not last very long with the heavyweights of today but it probably would have been rebuilt at least once by now to keep up with todays bots if it was still fighting
In which case the total cost would have gone up to atleast £3000 :P
not if it kept the same pneumatics :P

bits would have probably perished by this point so they would need to be replaced and upgraded

I don't think Chaos 2 would do extremely badly today, especially if they got some better pneumatics, which wouldn't be a fortune.

Yes it would

Look, if you've not built anything pneumatic you wouldn't understand the costs and complications involved

Just used it as an example of a good robot built on a budget, really.

Yeah, they're not cheap :P

It cost us £3000 to build Eruption
Although, not always- Chaos 2 for instance, cost only £250 to build, and we all know what it went on to do   :approve:
Get knocked out by Dantomkia? :gawe:

heck, ill be suprised if i last 10 seconds with any thing

i think this is the first robot i actually thought about weight distribution, the front is weighed down by the steel scooop while the batteries are just in front of each motor. i even have a rough idea where the 4QDs are going to go.
by my calculations its about 83-84kgs so i need to add weight somewhere

Chaos 2 only did badly later on because GF (George Francis, not Goldenfox) didn't upgrade it. And it still won a lot of battles. Yes, robotics have evolved, but no matter how good your robot is, driving and experience are the 2 most important things in robotic combat.

TBH decent motors aren't that much more

It's probably even a saving the amount people have to replace those motors

UPDATE:
the unnamed HW, not much done to it, just getting the frame cut and ready to be welded then to sort out the gearing

DeodorANT is pretty much the same, just cleaner and neater
Godmonster is now invertabubble and different

motor is playing up a bit though, hope i dont have to replace it

when i get the egg beater, decided to call it epic sax guy
