just ordered some 160amp speed controllers and some more wheels, so it may be moving quite soon.

160 amp??? For a featherweight??? What kind of motors are you using where they draw that much? I only draw around 40a with my feather. :P

the site says 160amp i think these are hobby amps so i got the highest rated ones i could, 160a so in a drill that draws 15a it should be okish
plus then i can say i have 160amp escs :laughing
if i hooked them up to a motor that would draw that much i bet it would not cope...

had a load of parts come today, new drive wheels and brushless motor for my fleaweights rebuild.
i am quite happy with the spinner so far, smashing through aluminum and polycarbonate well
i will put up a video and some pictures soon if you are interested

I have no idea about Robotics, but I do know that the flipper should be a lot more powerful than that.

i would put in a bigger better servo, but im broke after ordering featherweight parts, and i dont have much weight left over, its 55g atm

cheap too, 2 5g servos-£6 4g spectrum rx-£7, 17g 6v nimh, £5 weapon servo -£4, hdpe £1.50

It's not a flipper so much as a lifter.  And as far as lifters go it's plenty powerful.


Yeah, I'd like to see ANYBODY make an actual flipper under 75g.

good news and bad news today:
good news,
11g 180mah lipos  arrived today
2 sheets of aluminum have been cut to shape
titanium ordered

bad news,
sabertooth b****  broke which is odd as it was working for ages in the same set up
spectrum Rx damaged by spinner
spinner motor clogged up by bits of spectrum Rx
1 50:1 gearmotor broke itself
featherweight axe broke its own mount

not a happy bunny :realmad(
